Well, the PS4 is running most games at native 1080p/30fps. Only two I can think of is BF4 (64 players, destruction) and The Order: 1886 (because of the black bars at the top and bottom). So the 'next-gen systems' is invalid.

But I will say this. If the PS4 and XBO would be running all games at 1080p/60fps, you'd be paying $600+. Which is one of the reasons why the PS3 was getting beaten into a bloody pulp by the media and gamers.

Microtransactions suck. I'm already paying $60 for the game. I don't want to spend loads of money on the game that I already bought.

Just by looking at the specs, I can tell this thing will not be cheap. I know it'll be more powerful, but it's not gonna be cheap at all.

Tales of Vesperia was a 360 exclusive... it sold so badly they had to make a PS3 version.
MS has been arranging things with Japanese devs for the past decade, yet their consoles sell like apples from an ice-cream truck in Japan. Best case scenario for Japanese XBO games? Timed exclusives.
Not to mention that the XBO is havin' a hard time in the US. Lol

@XboxFun, yes, most RPGs on the PS3 sold like hotcakes in Japan. Definitely more than the 360.

Tales of Vesperia did so badly that Bamco had to make a PS3 version.

The XBO is in an even worse position. We don't even have a Japanese release date yet. Japanese devs would be taking a huge risk if they were to make an XBO exclusive.

The amount of money MS would have to give to a Japanese publisher to make and Xbox One exclusive is unimaginably high.

Also, I can't wait for Trine 2! The game would look amazing in 3D!

Very excited for the PS4's future. I'll be purchasing a PS4 next year.
I think the PS4 is going to get most games at native 1080p this gen, due to optimizations. Most, not all.

Yes! Hell yes! I'd pre-order it in a matter of seconds!

Yes, yes YES!
Next year for PS3 exclusive JRPGs
Tales Of Symphonia Chronicles
Tales Of Xillia
Kingdom Hearts II.5 HD Remix
Persona 5
Awesome as hell!

I knew it wouldn't be releasing that early. Best case scenario?
Japan release:
May-June 2014
Western Release:
July-August 2014.
They've already started localization, even if Jay Preston's role hasn't been specified (though he's most likely Prompto). SE has also said they are releasing sequels to FFXV because of when they were planning to release it.

Lies? Are you serious? It's downgraded! Simple fact! Take the wool AWAY from your eyes.
The photos are right in front of you. If you can't see downgraded textures and inferior lighting... wow.

'Consoles like the PS4 bring a capable web browser hooked up to a giant screen, coupled with our great, free 720p porn, it leads to a great porn experience.'
Where is my 1080p native experience pornhub?!

This p0rn stuff is hilarious! Haha
I'm not so sure that I'd watch it in the living room though.

I agree to an extent, yet Destiny looks pretty awesome to me.

I think that we'll be getting a more diverse library of games next-gen.

The list that IHassounah provided is full of games that aren't FPS', from platformers to RPG's. That's what's been announced this year. Imagine the amount of games we'll have to choose from in 2-4 years.
I have a huge amount of game's I'm looking forward to. My wallet is going to be ...

This coming from someone who thinks that Super Mario 3d World is a 'next-gen' game.
And because we're talking facts we're Sony fanboys?
It's very simple: Next-gen fully started yesterday (all consoles release by then).

Valve is a great company, but they are not the holy grail of gaming. Neither is the PC. And like zeal0us said, next-gen has already started.
The PC can rake in a lot of money, but consoles are what brings in the money the most. And before anyone starts that 'consoles are dying' stuff, please note that the PS4 sold 1 million in 24 hours. In the NA alone.
Also, the Steam Machines are just smaller PCs. I'm don't think it's gonna go that far in the mainstream ...

The leap in graphical fidelity is significant. Very significant. Not on a PS2-PS3 level, but it's a pretty good jump.

Optimization for the PS4 and XBO still has to been done and the jump will be even more clear in the next 2-3 years. Launch games are just the beginning.

I also think that the biggest focus of next-gen will be intricate AI, bigger worlds, better particle effects and of course, much better physics engines. Example of almost all of this (not...

Yeah, the textures are a lot better on the E3 build and the lighting is also superior to the final version.
Definitely a noticeable downgrade.
That's how you know the PC's used at E3 were not equivalent to the XBO specs.

I'm not defending him (in fact I agree with everything in the article), but isn't wishing for someone to get beaten a bit much?
