I can't wait to find out what Watch Dogs runs at one the PS4 and XBO. It will be very interesting.
As for the widening gap, of course it will. Both consoles will improve with optimization and driver updates, but the gap will still be there.
Surprised KH3 is only no.5.
Final Fantasy XV being no.1 is awesome. Hopefully we'll get some more news on that soon.
Persona 5 is my most anticipated game for this year. And in case anyone's concerned about localization, don't worry. The teaser was using both English and Japanese. Who knows? Maybe Sega could help get it out in NA a week or two after the Japanese release.
But... where's the info? I need info.
Since they've revived Persona ma...
So Machinima gets the blame. Why am I not surprised.
Corporate BS at it's finest.
It's too late for this to go the 360. The game is months away from release in Japan. SE wouldn't waste time and money on an HD remake that they know would sell like crap on the 360.
Watch how KH3 flops like a fish on dry concrete on Xbone.
I don't think you'll need to.
SE isn't going to waste resources on making a PS3 exclusive probably a few months from release (in Japan). Not to mention it's a remake. Why bother this late in the game?
This isn't fair marketing. This is bribery being kept under wraps. Why did I sense that you would say something like that the second I opened this thread?
'Sony does it too!' Loads of companies do it, but MS is the one who's caught.
I'm sorry, what?
Are you really gonna determine all of that less than 3 months after the launch of both consoles?
And are you forgetting what happened with the 360? Game after game in the beginning, a noticeable amount being exclusives. 2 years into it, the 360 turned into multiplat central.
It's confirmed to run at 1080p @ 60fps on next gen? If it is, cool, must've missed it.
Anyways, I definitiely think this game will be upscaled to 720p on the PS3 and 360.
I like having loads of games to play at one time, especially with a new console.
Plus, I can get games a bit cheaper. I have no problem with buying a PS4. Plus, I'd buy a new model if they came out with one next year or something.
No, not really.
Right now, the PS4 and XBO don't have any games that will make the vast majority want to rush out and buy one, but sooner rather than later, it'll be game after game for both consoles.
In March we have Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, Titanfall, inFamous: Second Son and Watch Dogs.
Of course, not everyone is looking forward to these games, but you know what I mean.
By the end of the year, we will have an explosion of ...
Ok, it's not the definitive version. Don't know why the word definitive being on the box is such a big deal though. It's just marketing. Btw, did you read the entire blog?
Thanks.
When I say that the frame-rate debacle is overblown, I mean for this game specifically.
I understand that quality is expected when you buy a console (applies to me too), but some people have very unrealistic expectations. For example: 'The PS4 and XBO should be powerful enough to run all games at 1080p 60fps throughout the gen at the price of 400-$500!'
I think this statement is to please the investors.
Didn't they say thing with the 360? I also don't think that Japanese devs who have made an exclusive (timed included) for the 360 will make the same mistake with the XBO. For Japanese games, it's either multiplatform or exclusive to PlayStation or Nintendo. Simple as.
I personally think it's laziness.
I mean, Yakuza Ishin runs at native 1080p at 60fps on the PS4. In the beginning of a new gen, devs tend to use brute force on the hardware. Not making use of it. Later on, devs will feel the need to actually optimize and stuff. It happens every gen.
Sometimes, it all comes down to the devs. Not to mention this is a last gen port.
Wasn't planning to buy it to begin with, but I expected 30fps. It isn't the end of the world for the game, but I can see ppl losing interest.
I'm I think this game is just a cash grab. Not that much effort being put into it, really.
At least it'll look nice. Having said that, am I the only one who isn't all that impressed with Tressfx?
Another native 1080p game for the PS4. And 60fps at that! Sweet. I can't wait to see how other Japanese devs use the hardware in the PS4. I wonder how well a cell shaded game would run. I hope they bring the game to the NA and EU though, it looks fun.
I don't think that digital distribution will eradicate physical games from existence. Look at the music industry.
I think that if any company tried this 'only streaming through the cloud' thing, they'd find it's more costly than they think.
Tbh, I might actually pick up the Division and Destiny. MIGHT. If what I see next impresses me.
I still don't like the fact that they're online only games though (mp of course). We all know what happens when the servers go down. But they both look pretty good so far.
DRM on single player games is what really irritates me.
Lol, this comment section is all over the place.
Yes, maxing out a console is easy. It's optimization that makes the games better, in terms of performance at least.
I'm pretty sure CDPR knows this. They aren't bad devs. They know how a console gen goes. They're just hyping up their product.
Of course, the X86 architecture is much easier to optimize for than something like the CELL, so consoles won't be seeing a jump in graphics as high as the PS3 an...
