I like The Order 1886. It had a good story, great graphics, and I didn't feel the shooting was any more repetitive than the average third person cover shooter I'd played. It was WAY too short, but that's not really a reason to kill a sequel. I hope Sony revives the franchise one day. Knack is getting another shot, why not The Order?
I beat Vault of Glass once via LFG in Destiny 1, and attempted King's Fall with 6 friends in the DLC months after it came out. After six hours we reached Crota, only to have our party disintegrate as people dropped out to get food, live life, etc. Our schedules never aligned again and no one on LFG wanted to do the raid with a first timer. I ejected the disc and never put it back in the console.
I'm glad there are people who can enjoy the Destiny model, but I'...
Didn't seem so bad to me. Usually get one map for $15, so eight for $30 didn't strike me as gouging. Sure they're remasters, but I have no interest in going back and buying the old games + dlc, so this is the only way I'll get to play them. Honestly, it's kind of cool Activision even greenlit Treyarch to release this. They're on the tail end of Infinite's DLC cycle and the lead-up to WW2's reveal. Kind of off character for them to put out anything that might...
It's already been said here but I'll say it again: how is other people's taste disturbing your right to purchase digital media? I mean, if this is just your preferred way of putting people down then by all means continue.
I do however feel obligated to enlighten you on the subject in case you do truly feel cheated of the full potential of your digital future. You need not blame your fellow consumers. Consider the following scenario: Company A wishes to shift it...
Agreed
Or, y'know, just throwing this out there, we could all buy the game where it makes sense to us? It's for sale digitally; how is my liking the steelbook on my shelf raining on your parade? We all have a choice to make: download it at midnight or have it delivered to us on or shortly after release day (or I guess you could DRIVE to get it somewhere if you're some kind of CRAZY!) If my physical copy gets cancelled (which it hasn't yet), oh well, I guess I'll get it some ot...
No cancellation for my steelbook edition yet. I pre-ordered a few days ago. Just adding my data to the sample.
That was my thought. I spent ten bucks for some Silver to buy the Thriller, and left twelve dollars as a tip on the table to the guy who brought me my dinner. I've already forgotten what I ordered, but I'm still dancing every time I win a round in the Trials of Osiris. Well done Bungie.
Well said. There are cases where extra content has been at the detriment of the players (not going to name specifics just now), but at this point it seems many people simply pile on when the word 'microtransaction' is even uttered. Its fine to have an opinion, but the sheer vitriol out there is getting kind of absurd; I can't imagine how hateful a place the internet must seem to an actual developer.
Its short but fun, and they did some great world building. I hope it sold well enough to get a sequel and that the devs learned enough from this title to make it bigger and better next time.
Saw the score, thought "I'll bet Jeff did this review." Follow the link, and surprise, its Jeff Gerstmann! Lol, not a surprising review in the least, this game has never looked even remotely to his tastes.
I'm going to make a prediction and say its a new MOBA. A lot of bits and pieces of evidence are going around about this being esports related (esports twitch streams, domains EA registered in relation to 'Shadow Lord' and 'Shadow Realm' with pvp, online, and free in the name), so I'm keeping my expectations low until Gamescom. I'd be overjoyed to see a new RPG franchise out of Bioware, something with a supernatural theme like The Secret World but offline, but I d...
@Madock It's not fanboyism if you can only afford one console; I own a PS4 and wish I could play Zelda on it. Nothing against Nintendo, they just never sold me on the Wii U.
Same here, I thought it was fantastic. The ending left me excited for where they'd go next and I'm pretty stoked to see them mention a sequel already. With SE trashing sales so badly, I was worried they wouldn't greenlight another entry.
Well, I'd get it, but apparently its only available for store pickup, and not one of the two dozen stores in central Florida has it available. Frustrating to say the least. :(
EDIT: Of course, it occurs to me now that I could use this to price match elsewhere. Quick, back to the happy bus! :D
They gave TLoU a 7.5? Thank you for sharing that. They obviously have very different taste in games than me, and I can now comfortably pass over their review of KZ:SF without worrying I've missed an opinion relevant to me.
@mandf not arguing the point, I just wanted to confirm your comment: Gamespot fabricated the original interview that stated Blizzard would not be supporting Remote Play?
"...it would be a little bit more of stretch. It's kind of percolating in the back of our mind, but we don't really have any plans right now."
- Matthew Berger via Gamespot,
No problem, I didn't take offense. I understand how remote play is being set up and utilized, I guess I just misunderstood the wording Berger used in the old article.

Haha, I know right; was super bummed when they announced it wouldn't be a feature, and suddenly it is. I guess Sony intervened and told them to make it happen or something.
It looks a lot like Destiny 1, not in terms of graphics, more in terms of everything. "We've got a brand new raid!" Um, why did you feel the need to mention it was 'new'? It's Destiny 2, isn't EVERYTHING new? It's like Activision announcing the next Call of Duty with "brand new, never before seen multi-player maps!"
That's a given right, that the new game doesn't have the old maps? Great for the folks that stuck with Destiny I ...
