Dead Rising 2 will most likely be multi-platform, and the two other games you can get on your PC ;)
If I remember correctly, in year 1 of XBOX 360, it had nothing that contended with the likes of Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Resistance... For a first year out in the market, I do think the Playstation 3 fared as well as it could at its price point, you have to remember that it launched at $599 and stayed at that level for quite a while.
And for a company that's pretty new to the Operating Systems scene (Sony with the XMB) I think they are doing pretty well and...
If the ppl who got RROD and bought new ones, yes. Replacements, probably not, but nobody can be sure.
Pretty mediocre if it is actually a grab from Gears 2.

Well, since the demo units at GDC RROD'ed then I'm going to go ahead and assume that they never fixed the real issues.
So that would mean that yes, every XBOX 360 out there still has a chance of failing. And apparently the RROD is still here to stay.

Title says EXCLUSIVE, while it's a console exclusive. So it is technically wrong. And saying that the PC is a Microsoft platform is wrong.
Well, even with an ad-on, it will be slower (through USB), will not be used for gaming, and will cost quite a bit on TOP of the console purchase. Still a better option to buy a Playstation 3.

And you didn't have to wait till the second year to get anything mediocre? Don't make me laugh. Dude, I had 1 game during the 1st year (and I bought a launch 360, replaced once with RROD), and even during the second year, I didn't pick up GeoW cos I waited for the PC version, Halo 3 I picked up and traded back in, and Bioshock I got for PC.
360's first year was worse than Playstation 3's.

Seeing as during the year where games such as Halo 3, Mass Effect, Gears of War were released, and where the Playstation 3 STILL outsold the XBOX 360, how is that a victory? On top of that, add the hardware fiasco by Microsoft.

It will last, and it will even accelerate. 2008 will bring great hits to the platform, and the platform will not see the abysmal sales that its competitor did during its "hits" year.
Digital distribution won't catch on for another 15 years or so. The infrastructure is being rebuilt and even then it won't be optimal for digital distribution. More than 50% of the ISPs out there have download caps and upload caps, it will never work until those are fixed.
