XBOX 360 is NOT the industry leader... it is the current consoles generation leader. Industry Leader? Are you kidding me?
Pretty sad how these people keep bringing up MGS4 for XBOX 360 in stupid articles (a psychic? Come on). IT only concerns XBOX 360 ONLY owners, and well, just because of that fact, it has 0 credibility.
Shut down again and again by Konami and Kojima.
Does it really matter? It's a gaming machine as well as a Blu-Ray player. You get the best of both worlds.
I really want to know what these Technical Reasons are ;)
Wow can't wait to see these new trailers!
I feel his pain, like MANY others, I have gone through their "tech support" to get my 360 fixed for RRoD approximately 14 months after purchase.
Haven't seen much or ANY footage or information about most of those games, and 08 has already started and is beginning to tick away.
Way to embellish the 360's upcoming year, where almost no footage of any of its 08 titles have even been released to the public as of yet. Announced and Unannounced? You've got to be kidding, anything unannounced counts for nothing until it is announced, so until they are they are 0.
Xbox Live service has been horrendous as of late, haven't you experienced the down service? Quite a shame for such a huge company, then again, not surprising considering their RRoD fiasco.
...
And Sony having 20+ exclusives that aren't announced either should count. Until they are officially declared for 08 then they don't count. Simple as that. So those "unannounced games" you're raving about, forget about them until they are officially announced.
I'm guessing that GamesRadar had bought quite a few HD-DVD players to have to come up with that publishing.
Headline should be, "HD-DVDs are still good for the time being, but they're still dead".
Edit: lol @ the disagree, you must've been one of the HD-DVD supporters.
GT is making up excuses to save themselves. Yes HDMI has copy protection, however you do NOT NEED TO CAPTURE THE MAIN SOURCE. They only need a pass-through or HDMI>Component converter box. Almost all HDMI input boxes can also output through other mediums such as component cabling and component cabling is not protected. So that's one way to capture two component signals even with FULL RBG turned on.
Set up the Playstation 3 HDMI output through a pass-through box or converter...
And pie charts are only representative of the current standing and this generation's consoles lifespans aren't even near done (for some). Pie charts are useless unless you have final or near final data. We can look back and see the PS2's domination over its generation, but for the current generation you can't do that because it ISN'T DONE.
Glad to see Sqaure-Enix continuing to support the Playstation brand.
Let them waste money. They "could" be using that money to start building some Blu-Ray manufacturing infrastructure, but they're continuing to "support" a dead format. Another set of bad decisions by Toshiba.
Poor baby, go cry in your moms lap. Seriously, how is this NEWS? It's a freaking published whining frenzy about how his beloved HD DVD format died.
Suck it up.
Could be real, could be fake, but from what I've been thinking how the in-game XMB would look, it looks pretty much like that.
Only time will tell.
Stupid article.
It's funny how an initial HD-DVD supporter/backer wants to shell out a Blu-Ray add-on for its console. I can't wait to see what the Blu-Ray association's answer to that is ;)
This rumor, in contrast to this one: http://www.gamesradar.com/u... ... States that Crysis will be released for XBOX 360 as well. However, the linked source article at GamesRadar lists a rumor coming from an insider within the studio that says "For technical reasons we hear an Xbox 360 version of Crysis isn’t in dev...
