Have both consoles, and still buying the PS3 version. I could care less for optional downloadable ($$$) content.
It's too late even if they do want to sell an add-on. The markup price will be well over 200-300$ for the add-on alone, so people are better off buying a Playstation 3 instead.
Since he's getting that error, he's either 1. Connected via wire to a router (the router must be pretty cheap if he's getting disconnect problems, that or his modem); 2. Connected via wireless (in which case, for Live you'd have to fork out more cash to buy a wireless dongle). The problem is with his network configuration and not the PSN. Clearly he needs to take Networking 101.
It's online offerings are better (now) however, I wouldn't call it stable... Especially when P2P... No dedicated servers and no possibility of dedicated servers on its closed network architecture. Ask developers which network platform they'd prefer, and it'd be Playstation Network.
Only single console owners say that this game is exclusive to the XBOX 360 and ignore the fact that it is also released on the PC. Blinded by fanboyism.

They need better television sets. Until they drop to about.... I don't know.. let's just say "their price range *cough*" they won't have the sets to fully take advantage of Blu-Ray's quality... Also have to add in the surround systems...
There is a clear difference at 1080p and 7.1 compared to DVDs and 5.1.
It's not exclusive to any platform, besides, the only reason why Bioshock wasn't ported to the PS3 was due to the fact that they were too far into the development cycle for Bioshock (and they had plans for Bioshock 2) so it wasn't worth the effort of porting it considering the fact that the next year they would bring out the sequel.
Even if ti doesn't come to the PS3, your statement is wrong... PC ... folk...
Edit: LOL @ disagrees... you guys are sad...
Pretty funny. Large scale digital downloading will not be a reality for a good decade or so, even then it'll be in its infant stages.
Well, we know it'll be better than the first! ;)
It's about time... They wasted so much time and money with that... other format..
It's Microsoft, they give you incomplete products: Windows, XBOX 360, ZUNE. They aren't a multi-billion dollar company because they give you things that you -should- have, they make you pay for it (Live).
Hopefully they can slip in the PS3 RockBand compatibility patch into the negotiations... As well as get some hard cash ;)
Already?!
If he's as ambitious as he was with MGS4 (and I bet he is) he'll need the capacity of Blu-Ray as well as a required hard-drive.
No.
For those last-gen gamers who are waiting for games like MGS4, FF13, FFv13, GTAIV.... This price cut does not change their stance.
Pressure? From the XBOX 360 Arcade? Are you kidding?
only?
