So we can deduct from this that.... Digital Extremes’ has bad programmers.
Nothing to cry about. It's not like it's "rare" or anything, everyone with a console manufactured during the first 1.5~2 years or so are prone to having their consoles die.
It will do well, but will hardly "save" 2008 for MS.
Why would anyone buy it now if all of the HD-DVD movies are going to come to blu-ray?
lol, this will sell great in Japan, and to those Otaku-addicted fans in America who happen to own Wii's.
This game will either be exclusive or multiplatform (pc, ps3, xbox360 or any combination of the 3). If it is multiplatform, it will not be able to be implemented on the Wii due to technical constraints. Unless they "dumb down" the game to the Wii's level, I don't see them bringing it to the Wii.
However, they may release different versions of the game, one for the high-definition platforms (ps3, xbox360, pc) and one for the wii.
Who knows though, only tim...
There aren't that many HD-DVD players out there, I don't think the costs are that great to replace them.
At least they discontinued it and did everyone a favor. Such a useless product.
Learn C and all the other programming languages, you'll get way better results and better games, take pride in your work, forget XNA and its inferior capabilities.
If you really want to call that trailer a "tech demo" then go ahead. But I've seen better "trailers" and "tech demos" on all next-gen platforms.
Because it'll be the ONLY next-gen platform to include an in-game XMB (or any similar implementation).
Why?
We asked for in-game XMB, and that's what they are creating, in-game XMB.
Unlike XBOX 360 where you only get one blade (minimal, not at all or even close to the full OS) and Wii's 2-4 option home button screen (which is barely an implementation of an OS at all) Playstation 3's in-game XMB is probably going to be just that, an in-game representation...
Sony can easily take one of these big developers under its wings and make them first party.
Who wrote this article? Some fanboy or Microsoft/Toshiba personnel?
Microsoft: How bought splitting the game across files! That worked for Lost Odyssey across 4 discs!
Just a bit of humour :P
From what I've seen from the Unreal Engine, it look like devs have already maxed out that engine's capabilities. It's just optimization from here on end.
A price cut at this point is pretty redundant. There's no additional incentive to buy this console. It needs more announcements like games.
Casualties that could've been avoided if those consumers would have done their research.
I thought he was supposed to be in the OpenZone? :P
Nice to see a dying format finally meet its maker.
Sony is going for a BIG year.
