I'll laugh when you get MW3 and the servers are the same as they have been in the past on release, aka not working, and utter crap. Keep using the same rehashed engine, the same stupid crap and enjoy swinging your double shotguns respawn after respawn.
Great for DICE. The game is awesome. I'd like a fix for the mics on PS3 but I'm absolutely loving the game. Its awesome.
Yeah, I went to their site to check on it after I posted to see this:
Full: Provides unlimited access to the selected game throughout its supported lifetime on the OnLive service. We expect to keep all games supported for as long as people continue to play them, but at a minimum, all current games will be supported for three years after their release on the OnLive Game Service.
So are the games that much cheaper since you don't own them and its just a pas...
Have they removed the small text in the contract yet that says they can take game servers offline when they see fit and you won't be able to access those games you purchased anymore if that is done?
If not its still a scam. I was in the BETA and that was the final straw for me. The service may have been 'ok' but even on my 35/35 connection the games didn't look that great and I wasn't about to pay a monthly fee on top of game fee's to use the limited f...
Thats fricken awesome!!!
The problem is you don't own the stuff you buy and I don't mean that in the way of "omg I don't have a physical copy" I mean the fine print says they can take down the servers for the game after 3 years or so if they want and then you can't play it, even if you bought it.
Thats a rip.
Its already changing, maybe try catching up?
Sony clearly is thinking of another way to get the PS3 into living rooms everywhere. DirectTV and NFL are thinking of ways to make money. Think about it, who gets the most out of this deal?
My point is I don't think Sony would or could have much say in the price point, they are looking at it as a way to get the PS3 in more living rooms.
Anyone willing to pay for a OnLive monthly plan, and then buy a game that may be taken off their servers after 3 years (read the small print) is out of their minds.
I was in one of the testing phases of OnLive and that was the immediate kill switch for me. The selection sucked and then I read that even if I bought the game they could take it off their servers which would make it unplayable was insane.
No thanks. PSVita day 1
LMAO yet they've got better games this gen by far. I surely hope mods mark your post for trolling, I said something far less stupid and got my statement flagged.
Misery loves company.
Milk it baby, milk it like a halo... er wait.
Don't hate, I'm just seeing gamers cry out for more original ip's and trying to get in before the herd comes chanting for more of the same.
Anything to generate some hits. The media loved the price point when it was announced, there's no reason to change that.
The only reason I play consoles is because of the Sony exclusives and the majority of my RL friends find it easier. The one issue with PC gaming is lots of people aren't comfortable upgrading their PC's.
Your absolutely right. It must be my 35/15 connection, confirmed with Speedtest.net. My 22" HP monitor and computer that plays SC2 on Ultra settings is clearly holding OnLive back.
Also, in regards to your belief that they won't take off anything that isn't worth taking off is subjective. What they deem isn't 'cool' may differ completely from what I think is or isn't. The point is if I bought it I should be able to play it as much as I want, when...
Beginner Guide 101:
Don't buy their games. You'll find in the small print they "may" remove the ability to play the game after 3 years.
I'm sorry but this is what will cause DD to fail, and that is if I can't play the game I want whenever I want then it isn't worth it for me to purchase it.
I tried OnLive and I liked the idea of it but the graphics were crap (I'm on FIOS connection) and the above issue was ...
Focus on the SP please. The game will sell well enough without an MP.
Clearly by people who are in touch with the 'media age'. But I guess they still live in an age where judging people is appropriate and living one life in public and another behind a closed door is acceptable.
I'll be 30 next year, can't wait to 'be weird' in their eyes :) I don't plan to quit running my team or gaming.
Trash.
He says:
“The ‘90s generation of gamers all love XCOM and we own the IP, so we thought OK, what do we do with it? Every studio we had wanted to do it and each one had its own spin on it. But the problem was that turn-based strategy games were no longer the hottest thing on planet Earth. But this is not just a commercial thing – strategy games are just not contemporary,” he explained.
The key thing here is to him its not popular and th...
@newMonday -
The fridge maker has everything to do with spouting about a console failure when its your rival making tv's. Why not throw out some random comment about consoles failing to possibly hurt your competitor a bit.
Atleast thats the case imo. I couldn't see why LG would care really, but they came out and said it.
@The_Science_Guy
That's up for opinion. I completely disagree that CoD has the most action packed MP. Respawning quickly and being thrown back into the action doesn't make it action packed, it makes it repetitive.
Saying CoD has a more action packed MP experience than BF is like saying a bicycle has more going on then a motorcycle built for racing. I'm not saying CoD is bad, I'm saying it isn't all there. You can have a lot of fun on a bi...
