It wouldn't be a bold statement to say that CS 1.6 ALONE has played billions upon billions of matches over its lifetime. Not to take any credit from a console shooter. A billion is surely a milestone regardless if it's compared to cs.
I won't argue with your numbers of people playing cs. CS numbers started to decline when steam wasn't just about CS anymore...
I seriously need to hit up my ps3 buddies and try it out now. That input lag I had I probably would recognize it right away if indeed kz2 is plagued by it.
Again I'm not saying it's a major problem for kz2 because unlike pc shooters twitch shooting to survive isn't that much of a problem on consoles. Like I said already I probably could have adapted to it with practice. However my headshot twitches would have been completely thrown off.

Care to explain how pc gaming costs 4k a year? I bet my pc and monitor costs less than the "hardcore gamers" console and hdtv. Better yet I built it almost 2 years ago without breaking 1k and I can play crysis on high...

I just played The Last Remnant demo over steam the other day. It's like time has stood still for the JP dev's. There's definately been an evolution in western based rpg's compared to the games we saw 10 years ago.

ya the last core is unstable. However these cores are put under very strenuous testing so it wouldn't be bold to say that most of these chips would be fine if unlocked and just used for average gaming, encoding, web surfing.
Probably wouldn't be stable to use if people unlocked them to break benchmark records or folding @ home.
Im not sure if you understand what I mean. I don't play fps games at 24fps. Not cod4 or cs. I'm under the impression you think I'm getting input lag because of low fps. It's the opposite really, Minimum is 60fps or I lower my settings no and's if's or but's.
When I played cod4 promod My fps was almost always capped at 125 (I know Because of my lcd I'm not seeing 125 but only 75, I left it there so that there was a buffer and going under 75fps would be rare). This is why I starte...

I don't see why not. FFXI servers see ps2, 360, ps3 and pc players on together. But that game has a capped bandwidth rate along with a capped frame rate. Not sure if this is the key to make it possible.

I actually have experienced this in other games. I got it when I started cranking up cod4's AF and AA to max on my old pc. A friend has told me he gets it when he cranks AAx8 on CS source. If this is indeed what's going on in kz2 I don't think they intended to "add weight" (seriously wtf, what developer would intentionally do that?)Dare I say, this is what may be happening with kz2?

helicopters piss me off to end. I'm not sad to see the p90 go. People who use it are regularly bashed, even from people on their own team.
Not sure how well it fares on the consoles. but any competent ak (47 or 74) user will always demolish a p90 user.
