I agree short endings suck but I thought BioShock's did enough for me. I don't know what it was, exactly. Both endings seemed to leave really vivid images in my head. They were better than the average "enemy headquarters blows up" final cutscene.
The fact that they're playable is progress. Fallout 1-2 right out of the box were a complete mess. That's just how it goes with any game with a high degree of player choice.
In an open world RPG? Good luck with that :P
I don't see why people get so bent out of shape about a good multiplatform game. It's not taking the shine off any other game.
I played through Bloodlines twice and never experienced any big glitches. I don't doubt there were some bugs but nothing stuck out as game-breaking. I'm sort of used to wrestling with PC games, though, as I'm not really diligent about upgrading my system.
It still got plenty of awards, though. The intent of the list is to highlight the stuff that wasn't really on anyone's radar screen (gamers or critics).
COD games can get away with no beta because it's a known quantity. People need to be persuaded to buy this new MOH.
Touche, sir. Yeah, I don't know how many copies this one sold. It's kind of a blind spot for me though because it's more of a kid-oriented game.
I'm fortunate to live in a city with extensive mass transit. Otherwise, yeah, I'd probably never play a portable gaming system. I have trouble playing them when I'm just sitting at home.
It's a really fun, sizable demo. An across-the-board improvement over Portable Ops.
I still haven't finished the base game :/ Holiday season just had way too many games.
Same here. I figured I'd be able to joyride with the plane later so I didn't bother with that one. There's going to be another flying mission in one of the DLC packs, though, so we'll get another chance.
I don't get the point of releasing the bundle now, though. I'd imagine most COD players have moved over to MW2 by this point.
I believe she actually plays games, unlike Olivia "Any Pictures Of Me Hit N4G's Front Page" Munn.
Holy crap. I was expecting more of a tap upside the head. That was a closed-fist knockout punch to the face.
Makes the Jersey shore area look like crap, too. It's funny because a bunch of the cast members aren't even from there originally. Or so I hear, anyway - I'm not inclined to do research on this trainwreck of a show.
Well that's the biggest gameplay difference between GTA and SR. I can't imagine Volition eliminating it from the next game. If anything, they'd expand it.
I did love being able to make my character a mime with an Australian accent, yeah.
I'm not going to argue that SR's better than GTA but it's ascended past "clone" status at least. The side missions are clever and fun but I think the campaign just needs to be tighter. Like Crackdown, it feels too loose - they just toss a few gangs on the map and tell you to go kill 'em in any order you want. You can't design a very complex plot if the bulk of the game can be finished in any order the player chooses.
I don't see a problem with it. I mean I don't like shelling out additional money for DLC but what's wrong with a company letting us know that they plan on producing it?
