Other than the fact that they take fookin' forever to put their games out, Valve is doing just fine on its own. I can't argue with the quality of the finished products, either. I also get the feeling that whatever company bought them would put a stop to the free DLC gravy train.

Jaffe totally owes royalties to the ancient Greeks.

Alright, appreciate you removing the report.

To be fair, you can get through the entire game using like two or three combos (if that).

It's also available on Steam for about ten bucks.

I do remember the sewers sucking the first time I played...but on my second play-through recently, it wasn't nearly as bad. Maybe just mental preparation. If the Fall wasn't so stacked with new releases, I might go play Arcanum a third time or Planescape a second.

I think BioShock had the best introduction of the weapon. Without giving too much away to people who haven't played the game yet, you pick it up and you're forced to use it *immediately*. It was one of the coolest moments in the game, I thought.

The frustrating thing is, the GTA 4 multiplayer experience can be extremely fun at times (Cops 'n Crooks especially). It's just such a crapshoot.

The original news article on the crime mentioned they had gotten death threats.

I'm just happy to see most gamers aren't going, "What do video games have to do with this?! How dare you scapegoat our hobby!" I mean it's obvious these kids are bat sh*t and violent media of any kind is like throwing gasoline on the fire.

Yeah, those folks are all still around making great games. Would really love to see sequels to either of those Troika games, though.

This game is a classic, as was Arcanum. It's too bad Troika went under.

I think it's the precedent that's the real problem. I mean Lucas Arts used to be such a huge developer for the PC - the "Jedi Knight" series, "TIE Fighter", the Monkey Island series, etc. Weird seeing Lucas Arts leave the platform behind.

It's nice when a game company's PR department is quick on the draw.

If a nuclear war were to break out, which console would the mutated survivors be most likely to play?!

6485d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well, apparently it worked. Gamers swarm to a "That didn't suxor! It roxored!" argument like flies to crap.

Seeing as n4g is a portal to other site's news - yeah, we do need other sites.

But what about the "Emily's Reasons Why Not" MMO? Is that still coming?

No game can live up to the idealized image some fans have of Fallout 1 and 2. I loved those games but they weren't perfect and Fallout 3 won't be, either. It'll just be imperfect in different areas. People who gripe that it's going to be Oblivion with guns should realize that having a new installment of a game feel too much like a former Game of the Year isn't that horrible of a problem. At least it's still an open-ended RPG. Look at how badly some other franchises have been mangled in sequel...

@ MK_Red: Read the first paragraph. The point was to talk about something other than a Fallout game (which basically includes "Wasteland", which Fallout was the spiritual successor to).

If he was saying "hey, it's a decent game, lay off", I'd buy that. But better than COD4 or BioShock? I'm not sure Dennis Dyack would even make that claim.
