I'm not sure HOW it would have multiplayer. It sounds very story-driven.
One thing I noticed while playing MMOs is that there's a surprising amount of military folks (retired or active) who play them. Maybe it's not a disproportionate amount but still, a lot.
It's too bad. With the experience of Mercenaries and Mercenaries 2 under their belts, I sort of expected more out of Pandemic.
Established licenses only go so far. If a game's good, it doesn't matter if it's Star Wars or Star Warzzz. If you're paying $15/month for a game, you're going to be constantly evaluating whether it's fun and whether something else on the market is more fun.
I get what you're saying but honestly, if a game makes money, it's going to get a sequel no matter how it ends. If the world blows up, they just make a "prequel".
They're defiling StarCraft now? I heard people griping about Diablo 3's art design but no major complaints about SC2. Unless you mean the whole "trilogy" thing.
Is there a kind of game that can't have sequels? I mean, besides games that sell like crap.
I wonder if it's just because of the expectations of sci-fi. You'd need vehicles and starships and all that for it to be believable. Making players run around and slay rats in a field is acceptable in fantasy but not so much in sci-fi.
Yeah, see, I feel like a Diablo MMO would be too close to WoW. I mean Warcraft's world is kind of high fantasy but it has its darker notes as well. Plus there aren't really many big sci-fi MMOs aside from EVE Online (and eventually SW:TOR).
The hope had been that it would be released on the 2009 side of the winter. Guess that's not in the cards, though.
I think that ultimately I had to go all the way back up the mountain, to the place where the mobs first attack to find more enemies and keep the event moving along. As I said, it took me a while. It's a shame because it's supposed to be this really epic battle but it turns into a hunt for glitching enemies.
I remember having issues with the Battle of Redcliffe on the 360. I got through it but yeah, definitely had to search down a few stray mobs that had lost their way. The design for that segment really fell flat.
Strategy's definitely their strong suit. Studios are pretty hesitant to make games like Total War for the console, though. The failure of Stormrise doesn't help matters.
I don't know if this update is necessarily live on the PS3. I think BioWare's preface to the patch notes states that many of the fixes are already included in the console versions.
To be fair to shooters, the market's more flooded with crappy casualware these days.
That one actually would've been eligible - http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
There are a bunch of good franchises that launched in the late nineties, though. Silent Hill was '99.
Yep, kept stealth gaming alive along with MGS.
Yeah, I find it odd that they didn't even give a hint as to what it was. Guess it wouldn't really satisfy gamers, though. Delays suck no matter what the reason is.
I imagine there's a mod that makes her naked for every PC version of the game. There was one for the original, at least.
...So the PS3 version is on a Blu-ray and the Xbox 360 version is on DVDs? I think that went without saying. This was a great moment in headline writing.
