They farmed out the port to a different studio instead of doing it themselves this time. Maybe it'll turn out better?
It's possible they might take his name off the game in the future, now that he's passed away (I think DIRT 2 was announced before he had died?). It's known simply as "DIRT 2" everywhere except Europe right now.
Though it sucks that games like BioShock 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction are now listed as 2010 releases, it at least makes the holiday season a little less hectic. Right now next spring just looks stacked.
I can't speak to the sales in Japan, but I imagine releasing it in North America in the middle of the holiday crunch (first week of November) really didn't help things. Pushing out a new IP during that period just feels like a bad move.
Yep. I would've been completely psyched for the game even if they didn't include multiplayer at all.
Served its purpose then, didn't it? Consider the game's title.
Rockstar's always been very good about finding music for GTA. That's been true since the beginning when they had that one rap song ("Joyride" or something) for the title screen of the first game.
Well, not anymore.
It's like clockwork...

It's entertaining but you have to admit it doesn't stack up well against leading shooters.
Well, I imagine a lot of roleplayers already play werewolves (the ones that don't pretend to be vampires or demons) so this at least makes it easier for them.
Worgen will be very popular amongst the role-players, I assure you.
Rough time of the year to release it, yeah. Even if it's any good, it's got some really stiff competition in both the PS3 and 360 markets.
Gauss Rifle is pretty boss, yeah. Watching the whole bolt-action animation on it on slow-mo every time I'm in VATS is kind of annoying, though. It doesn't seem to have the same oomph anymore, either. Probably a combination of enemies getting stronger and the weapon's stats getting tweaked by patches.
Wasn't up to snuff.
Yep. Not even close in my opinion.
I still buy the occasional FPS for the PC. I like the pinpoint accuracy of the mouse.
Well, not "all" of them. Last week's release (Trials HD) was very well-received too, though.
If you don't believe Microsoft or BioWare, then I'm not sure what to tell you. We'll send a burning bush your way.
I don't get it. Please explain.
