I don't know if they need two demos but yeah, at least one. The shooter market is ridiculously competitive, even if your game does have an established brand name like Battlefield.
"Normally" they're slow months, is what the article says. It varies based on how many holiday games get pushed back. This year, a lot of games were delayed so early 2010's gonna be huge.
That was a brutal game to watch last night (as a Yankee fan). Damn that pitching.
Only gonna be two DLC episodes for GTA IV, yeah.
True. I just wouldn't write off the possibility that Cryptic and Microsoft finally came to an accord.
It's an idea. Could be the 360 version too.
On the other hand, it saves you the hundreds of hours that would've been required to level up a character of a different race. It's more worth it than the sex change feature they offer, which also costs money.
The box art in the Kotaku article looks more like a teaser poster than a game box. Suppose you had never played God of War and were browsing the shelves of Gamespot - would a picture of an eye actually catch your interest or tell you anything about what the game's like? Kratos standing at the ready with weapons drawn isn't as artsy but damned if it wouldn't get your attention. The image linked here looks like it's on the right track.
My point was that Aion's got a year of bug-testing and streamlining under its belt.
I don't think it's unfair to pass judgment on a game that I've spent dozens of hours on, even the leveling process is hundreds of hours long. Higher levels might be great but I'm just rankled by the notion that I need to tolerate extremely bland lower levels for an extended length of time to get to it.
Warhammer Online is not a perfect game by any stretch but I think it does a lo...
I won't argue that they're spinning their wheels with armor designs now in WoW. They're up to Tier 10, and there's been plenty of other armor sets added over the years besides that. Otherwise, though, Lich King looks great (in terms of its zone, mobs, etc.). I think it's a definite step up from the weird sci-fi turn that they took with Burning Crusade.
My issue isn't so much that the Aion has a steeper leveling curve. It's that you have little to no choice in how you level. Th...
I don't know, I think most criticisms of a gameplay's length are aimed squarely at the price point. I wouldn't mind if a shooter had delivered a really great five hours of gameplay had I not paid $60 for it.
They're all at their heart fetch and grind quests but some are better able to spice up this formula. WoW is a good example. There are actually legitimately fun quests.
I'm sure Aion is fun once you get to the highest levels but if the journey to those higher levels isn't all that fun, who's going to stick with it?
Aion might have pretty armor but WoW's still got better gameplay diversity. Aion's a linear grind of fetch and kill quests.
Where's a yeti when you need one?
Maybe the phrase "speaking Tibetan" is the same in English and Tibetan?
Really gunning for that second bubble, huh? :P
Best part was that they make fun of Sprite. Always hated their "extreme" ads.
Lots of things were supposed to be out this year :P
They might've done that with the Sims 3 base game as well but this is World Adventures-specific content they're giving away.
Even the one-month passes to Xbox Live were nice. The 48-hour cards are just a straight up tease, though.
