what i am saying is how come ONLY people that own a PS3 say uncharted has the best graphics to date.
YES, i do read reviews and see game videos online. And not one website, critic, magazine, has said uncharted has the best graphics to date on consoles. LAST YEAR many said that about Gears of War. reminded me a little of Gears... but like SICKBOY else pointed out, i hope the God mode was turned on... imean there was one part were he unloaded like a whole clip on a guy waiting for him to go down.

i did do my research and i chose HD-DVD, because they were cheaper for everyone, all were online enabled ready for updates (not like ALL blu-ray players except ps3 can not do this), interactive picture and picture, 51 gig cap for future discs playable on any player, much higher demand based on Amazon during xmas, and support by Walmart.
As far as movie studios go, it was neck in neck last year, and it could have went either way and it almost did... but oh well. Warner did go bl...
agreed that the PS3 is powerful and a very different gaming console than the 360.
To date no games have been done that cannot be done on the 360, and no games in the forseeable future. There is ALOT of potential in the ps3 and i'm sure sooner or later we will start seeing games that can not be done on the 360 (like original xbox did with Doom3, Far Cry, and HalfLife2)
BUT!! it seems that by the time these games start coming up, the next xbox or rumers of the nex...

agreed on the part sony helping their 1st party games, but COD 4 multiplayer disaster?? i'm not going to try to understand why you would write that.
if PS3 owners are convinced that it is superior then the 360 for gaming, then get used to the feeling of having games ported from an inferior machine this gen. I accepted it last gen owning an xbox and getting crappy ports that could have looked a hellava lot better if they were made with the Xbox as the lead platform.

Gears being on top of my list (that game alone will have more hype than MGS and FF here in the states, especially with a book and big budget movie in the works.
Then theres Banjo2 by Rare, Splinter Cell (made my Monreal Studios, the guys that Made SC 1 & 3 and Assasins Creed), Alan Wake (made by the guys that made Max Payne, and others like Too Human, Frontlines, Huxley,...
umm... do a little research.
PS3 has some awesome exclusives this year besides MGS4 (me being a shooter fan can name Resistance2 and KZ2)
as does the 360 have a bunch a great exclusives (hopefully Gears 2 and Banjo are at top of my list)
my point is that there are many great exclusives on both sides, games that can be multi-plat but they are not. Thats whats makes the consoles wars interesting. Sales and exclusive games.
toshiba could of and should of had this add-on at a $99 price long time ago just to get it in the houses of 360 owners. It would have made a difference in the long run.
sony did everything right, the trojan horse in every blu-ray, dropping prices and taking a loss on every ps3 sold, advertisement on tv and in all the magazines I read.
now, for HD-DVD, its just to late.
you do know that halo 2 was the most online played ever for a console game, and Halo 3 is still #1 on xbox live right?
its obvious your a sonyfan, and judging by the sales of the last MGS and FF games, i can say those franchises have been going downhill.
an 8 hour average game is more than FINE by me, especially if it has multiplayer to give it legs.
some of us can't devote so many hours into gaming, thats why as much as I want to play Mass Effect, knowing it can take as much as 30 hours to finish it is just way too much time for me....especially since i like to play some COD4, Halo, and Gears still online every once in a while. Those three campaigns are the right balance, an average 8 hours to finish the story and great multi...
i love the way they keep comparing this game to RE4 and Gears.... if that happens to be true... then this is a must pick up for me

and HDMI
One of those has to be available to you. I'm assuming.

your wrong.. the sweet "magic" proven mass market price is $199.
and there are already rumers that the core is being dropped to that price soon... which hopefully could put the pro at $279, and the elite at $350.
IMO, although most say just cut and get rid of the core altogether,
I say cut the pro and elite and just sell the arcade at $199 with that cheap headset and HD cables included. It will be the cheapest alternative to get into the next ge...
