GTA4 sold over 1.2 on ps3 alone first week
which means there should be even more sales since MGS4 is exclusive.
sad but true.
i was stupid enough to buy one last year, and only play it if guests come over and want to try it. its a fun party console.
plus, they could easily do a price drop for even more momentum.

i read the reviews for this game and it seems like a great party game.
with sales this low, i'm sure a price drop will be coming soon.
either way, is more like entertainment for guests when they come over, so i'll be picking it up, just not in a hurry to do so.
i dont see how MGS4 is going to be ps3 best selling title with such a low sales debut of 400k compared with GTA4 at 1.2 million.
on that note, not one 360 game in the top ten...... ouch!
and sonyfans shouldn't be braggin too much with only 2 in the top ten.

Xbox ALWAYS showed its superiority against ps2 in multi-plat games because it was a much stronger console.
sounds like a great game.
if it is 10 hours of cut scenes and 10 hours of gameplay...
thats still not bad for gameplay, and the cut-scenes sounds like a moive experience which is different for a game and a bonus. But if they are boring like this guy said, then that would suck.
best games this gen are less than 10 (Halo 3, COD4, Uncharted) unless its a RPG or GTA :)

the 360 needed to launch first, if not it couldn't go against Sony head to head after winning the last two gen's.
Simple as that.
pro - got a huge installed base, currently beating ps3, and has captured the most important market for gaming, North America.
con - RROD
so the pros do outweigh the cons..... at least MS did the extra warrenty unlike Sony and the class action lawsuit with the faulty ps2's.

your talking about exclusives, while I was talking about multi-plat games. and as far as exclusives go, the 360 has SIX rated over 90% on metacritic while the ps3 finally has ONE.
and while I agree that uncharted and mgs4 are great looking games, i still believe they can easiy be ported to the 360 if needed. the only people that believe they can't are fanboys.
so i'm still very happy with my purchase for a 360 for games.

i don't understand why everone puts down treyarch? i mean the difference is graphics between cod2 and cod3 was big, thanks to treyarch, and the gameplay was just more of the same.
now treyarch is using infinity wards game engine, and with co-op and vehicles.... how can anyone not be looking forward to this game?
i know cod4 was the shiz, especially with the modern weapons, but it's gonna take them at least 2 years to make another cod game.
still great to know the ps3 is NOT producing superior multi-plat games. (you know, the same way there was always a huge difference last gen between xbox and ps2)
I really felt early on that the ps3 would sh*t on the 360 with all their hype and "cell power" talk..... i guess at best the ps3 can hope for is to be on par with the 360.

I thought they should have done another price cut last year when the 40gig ps3 was announced.
then i was sure there would be a price cut right before the release of GTA4.
So, now the PS3's got the momentum, people are buying ps3s knowing they can play ps2 favorites GTA4 and MGS4, plus they get a blu-ray player.

this is a buy for me, for the co-op.
If they really wanted to push this game, they should have included a demo for gears 2 or the extra pc chapters from gears 1.

this year makes 3 years the 360 has been on the market, it is definitely time for that mass market "sweet spot" price.

coming from a 360 owner/supporter, ps3 sales are gonna skyrocket in june, especially with the MGS4 bundle and walmart/best buy ps3 sales.
the FACT that I was pointing out is that MGS4 had a weak debut in European sales at 400k compared to multi-plat game GTA4 at over 1.2 millions in Europe in its first week.
and YES i know GTA has a bigger fanbase, but being this is ps3s FIRST and only AAA title and it's "exclusive" and i've had to hear sonyb1tches on this site screaming about how great the game and sales would be... the FACT again is that it is a weak debut compared to GTA4.
