Sony has been kicking their azzes for months? really? last I checked Wii is kicking everyone's azz, while the 360 and ps3 have been pretty much neck and neck in America, despite the 360 price tag compared to a 399 blu-ray player/game console.

the 360 has the largest game library, the highest rated exclusives, best online service, and multi-plat games run and look better on the 360.

With the biggest blockbuster of 2008 being released exclusively on the 360 this year, and still decent sales despite only a measly $50 price cut after almost 3 years on the market, MS is definitely in the better position compared to Sony.

The xbox 360 is the new ps2, when the next xbox comes out, the 360 will still be around and supported by developers at a great mass market price.
MS had to can the Xbox ASAP due to losing money on every console because they didn't own the gpu and whatnot and because they needed to launch the 360 ahead of the PS3 to have the advantage they have now:
MS is being greedy this gen. First, a measly price cut of $50 after 2.5 years on the market is pathitic espeically when compared to a blu-ray player/game console (ps3) at $399 with free online (even though it sucks @ this time)
There shouldn't be a gold, silver, or diamond account,
because even though I don't mind paying $50 a year for superior online community and service, there are many people out there that see this as an added expense.
as I said yesterday, WEAK debut for european sales for ps3 first and ONLY exclusive AAA title.
MGS4 is NOT a game for the mass market. Great game for the hardcore gamer, no doubt, BUT it sure doens't have the impact like a TRUE blockbuster AAA game like Halo 3.
Gears of War 2 will show all sonydroids how a real AAA title sells on day ONE.

when you start playing with the 360 controller, especially games that are FPS's like Re5, you will never want to go back to the DS3.
