Gears multi-player is unique and one of a kind. It just can not be compared to a fps's multi-player.
if you suck at the game, you will suck at multi-player,
if you got some skill, prepare to get addicted to one of the best multi-player games of all time.

@ Omega4 - I was just about to school that chump with the same FACTS you just provided.
As great as MGS4 is, the only thing that is going to help push (force) sales of the game is the bundle.
without a great multiplayer (which it doesn't have) people looking to buy the game will look for the used copies at a discount.
reminds me a little of Bioshock, another AAA great game, but not intended for the mass market.
As of now, MGS4 is as good as Gears and Halo with a 94 on metacritic.com.

The split-screen and co-op got me sold.
being that the only difference in the sku's is the HDD...
get rid of the elite and the pro and just sell the arcade at $199 and drop the price on those damn hard drives.

Just because PS3 needs a HDD to install multi-plat games like DMC4, Lost Planet, Burnout, Oblivion, and GTA4 doesn't mean the same applies to the 360 because it has already proven it can run those games as good if not better without the HDD install.
for the most part the HDD is most beneficial when you are connected online BUT:
- there are people that can NOT afford broadband.
- not everyone gets internet connection where they live...
@ Mwaan - has a point, putting Baldur from Too Human in SC4 would only be helping to promote a game that is being released a little too soon after SC4..... but i doubt they would put master Chief since he was already used in DOA.

both are from action/slash and hack type games.
both have cool weapons to fit in perfect for a fighting game.
