The Resident Evil doom-crier guys are awesome. Wish more companies did clever marketing like that.
Dishonored's my most anticipated game. It's looking awesome.
But with so many cool attacking abilities, I don't know if I'll be able to restrain myself and play stealthy!
...not that I'm capable of playing stealthy, anyway. In MGS, I'll spend like an hour mapping my route and all the guard locations, then get spotted by one I didn't see right next to me.
And then, everyone has to die. I don't make the rules....
The summary seems pretty spot on from what I'm seeing. The omissions are notable (Wii U price? Vita price drop & software?). And if there's a theme of this years E3, it's definitely AAA games borrowing from each other liberally and shamelessly. Splinter Cell and Hitman have enemy tagging like RDR. Dishonored looks like the love child of about 4 different games. Heck, Hitman even has "eagle vision" now! And everyone is trying to pull aspects from call of duty. ...
Fingers crossed for Mirror's Edge 2...that game has so much potential.
That's definitely something I'm eager to see explained more. I won't say that it worries me, cause I think there are ways that it can be done well. But it is a bit surprising that they didn't go open world...the game seems suited for it.
I'd love a Lego remake of Goldeneye. Max health, slappers only.
No Oddjob.
I have to admit I'm not really familiar with the Risen games. Seems like a lot of it takes place on land...kinda strikes me as odd for a "Pirate Game". Are there no ship-to-ship battles and such?
Sounds awesome. Wish I had the space in my budget for it...
Solid list for multiplatform games. But though I really enjoyed Outland, I just can't see putting it ahead of Limbo/Braid, myself.
Black Ops probably takes the cake for me, but that Metal Gear scene makes me pretty nostalgic, too.
Agreed. I'm not sure that Sony's marketing department is doing their games any favors. Starhawk really could have used a little advertisement. It's a shame to see them let so many quality titles die without a chance to succeed.
Yup, to add to what BitbyDeath said, Dylan Jobe confirmed via Twitter that their data suggests tanks are a bit overpowered, and will be patched.
I've always liked the way that Prototype does superpowers...they're unique, and seem more like a villains moveset than a hero's. But that's really the only thing that interests me about the games, and from the review it doesn't seem like it's got much else going for it.
Glad to hear it's solid, but it doesn't seem like my bag.
It sure is slick looking. I wonder though, if the game will get less colorful as the graphics improve.
Quality list. Very happy to see Mirror's Edge 2 on there...a look, or some good news about that game is my biggest hope for the show.
Haven't played a Ghost Recon game before. I'm a total sucker for unconventional HUDs, though, so maybe I oughta fire up the beta and give it a look.
Sounds like my kinda game. What's a guy gotta do for a PSN port?
/sigh
Eh, I don't see Bioware intentionally trying to anger their fanbase with the ending. I don't think there's really any chance of that, to be honest.
Now, I could see them planning some sort of post-game DLC, and that affecting their decisions regarding how to end the game (and ultimately screwing it up, if that's the case...I still haven't played ME3).
It wouldn't surprise me in the least if it was a marketing decision that caused th...
Yeah, it's got some similarities to Limbo. I'd say the puzzles are about as difficult, and it's kind of dark and heavy. Closure tends to be a little more lighthearted and oddball, though.
If I had to pick between the two, I'd personally go with Limbo, but Closure is solid too. It also bears mentioning that Closure was likely in development before Limbo, as I believe it was originally a Flash game before Limbo's release.
I have to wonder if this wasn't being developed for the regular ol' Wii originally. The game seems further along in development than most Wii U titles (even most 1st party ones), which seems unusual.
It might explain why the graphics look so last-gen. And some of the features for the controller really seem like they're jerry-rigged in.
Just spitballin', but maybe it could be a possible explanation?
