I wonder what the sensitivity of it is. Will you get picked up on radar if you're creeping?
If any movement, no matter how small, keeps you from appearing, I could see campers fidgeting in place ever-so-slightly to avoid getting picked up.
But if it exposes you when you're moving slowly, it might make it hard to ninja around to kill enemies.
It'll be interesting to see how it works in practicality.
Looking at the most recent PlayStation exclusive review scores on the site:
Dyad 8/10
Closure 7.5/10
Starhawk 9/10
Seems just fine.
Well, I've played the game, too :P
I think it's a decent game, personally, but not nearly on the level of some of the scores that it's received.
And as an aside, I don't think that a 6/10 is a "low" score. And a few sites have given it a 7/10, so it's not like this is out of left field.
Interestingly, this is a fair bit lower than most of the other scores that it's been receiving.
I have to wonder if things have gotten so desperate for the Vita that folks'll put any decent game on a pedestal and call it a system-seller.
It's a trippy game, but it's also brutally hard. Some of the trophy levels still seem impossibly hard to me.
Interesting answers. I like that the "no kill" options for the bosses go beyond just knocking them unconscious. Some of them sound kinda crazy.
"Drowning in toxic steam" eh? Sounds adult enough.
I totally agree matgrowcott. Based on what was said in the interview, they completely achieved their goals (which were sound, logical goals to have, at that).
The level made me strongly dislike Makarov. It was shocking, and it made me make a tough, interesting decision (I couldn't bring myself to fire any bullets, even just to miss).
It also made me think about military structure a bit. Intentionally or not, it says a lot about patriotism, jingoism, and e...
I'd love to see this succeed, but I just can't see how this isn't throwing good money after bad. You don't get many second chances in the MMO world, and FFXIV's launch was the worst I've personally witnessed.
I can't say that I'm really wowed. I mean, it's a fine trailer and all, but what about this story is supposed to pique my interest?
Seems like a fairly standard revenge/regret action movie setup. We've seen a million stories like this. And I don't see any reason to doubt that this'll be more-or-less identical to all the other modern shooters that we've been inundated with of late.
I don't have a problem with games that are more "mixed media" and less interactive, as long as they're priced accordingly. When you can get a movie for $1 at Redbox, it's really hard to justify a full $60 cost for such a game.
I still do split screen once in a while. Less so than in college, but enough that I'm always happy to see the feature.
Pretty bizarre. Rest of the game looks a bit more high fantasy, though.
"Watch Dogs’ reception have been positive so far, with more than 6 million views on Youtube, nothing should go wrong in this new taste of open world gaming. "
...What does this even mean? This article is just a stub, and a poorly written one at that. It just poses the question in the title at the very end. Should have been flagged and deleted.
I like that they're changing things up a bit from the standard fighting game formula...it wouldn't really suit the subject matter if they just made it like Street Fighter.
OXCGN is originally australia-based. Might just be for that region.
Better yet, how about one with the Jolly Roger :P
Pirate Assassins!
It really does look slick. Those lighting effects are gorgeous. Nice, subtle glows and other ambient effects.
Great read. Personally, I'm less interested in how Spec Ops apes Heart of Darkness or Apocalypse Now, and more interested in what it has to say about video game shooters.
I won't be taking the plunge with Darksiders II just yet, but I am glad that it's generally being well-received. For THQ's sake, at the very least.
