Pretty good deal... good price, and the games are good (especially LBP2).
@ ziggurcat: What on earth do you mean only "allegedly" compromised? Sony admitted their systems were hacked into. Unless you're changing the definition of "compromised" now. I'm not saying that doesn't mean every last bit of information was gathered, though -- the credit card information was protected, but still stolen in its protected form.
And of course their information was compromised through phishing -- they GAVE THEIR INFORMATION AWAY. I...
There's a massive difference: this isn't a hack. It's simple phishing. People are being stupid with where they input their passwords and they have no one to blame but themselves.
Not saying it doesn't suck, but it's not even remotely comparable to the Sony incident (which Sony handled fairly well). There's certainly things Microsoft could do to help the phishing victims, but that doesn't make it analogous to a massive hacking incident.

More emphasis on the story. Gears of War 2 had a better story than the first (which had almost no story), then the third game tried to be overly dramatic. I don't know if I'd blame it on the story or on the execution, though. The story ideas were fine, but some of the stuff were just ham-fisted, like playing "Mad World" on Dom's final scene.
Actually, strike that. Dom's final scene was just entirely bad to begin with.
I was with you until "show us some more tits."
The most recent Gears of War game is pretty colorful, actually.
Wow, this article wins the award for flame-bait-iest, troll-iest article of the year.
While I agree with the gist of your post, People Can Fly is owned by Epic.
People on N4G disagree based solely on their console affiliation, not on the actual comment quality. Xbox posts are filled with positive PS3 comments getting downvoted, and Playstation posts are filled with positive 360 comments getting downvoted.
'Tis the way of N4G.
I think you've completely misunderstood the data. Microsoft hasn't updated the sales figures. Unless you honestly think they haven't shipped a single Kinect in that time.
This is one of the best boxing games you've ever played?

Both studios were on a downward spiral to begin with. Rare had a couple of mass exoduses well before Microsoft purchased them (probably why Nintendo sold them), with a lot of the studio going over to Free Radical. Lionhead released two mediocre games (Black & White 2, The Movies) after Fable was released and before Microsoft bought the studio.
They should have bought Crytek when they had the chance. It would've been a perfect fit in Microsoft's portfolio, given their style of games.
Valve already bought Turtle Rock Studios. Didn't work out too well. They renamed them "Valve South" before closing them down and asking everyone to relocate to Seattle. Michael Booth then restarted Turtle Rock Studios back in California with some of the original staff (some moved to Seattle to continue working for Valve).
You're right -- a game is either good or it isn't. And this remake is good, as was the original. To compare it to Goldeneye is absurd, because Halo largely plays the same as almost any shooter released today, save a few (Half-Life 2, Bioshock, or Crysis, for instance). The A.I. routines are far better than many games released today as well, unlike your article states.
So I don't understand the review's complaints, sorry.
Then Wikipedia is incorrect. 343 is producing, Sabre is developing (and Certain Affinity is creating the new multiplayer maps). Look up any article on the game's development. It's a fact that you're wrong.
I just got done reading the review, and it seems he gave it a low score simply for being the same core game as the original. Wasn't that kind of the point?
I mean, I get the 6/10 if it's a poor remake, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Also, I'm pretty sure split-screen co-op is still available.
Edit: And the new multiplayer maps can be purchased separately for Reach.
No they're not Sabre did this remake, 343 is making Halo 4.
The problem with your comment is you're ignoring the fact that we're only looking at Shank 2, not other games or forms of media.
The developer quoted in the story even states that they handled the rape storyline poorly. If you can't handle an aspect of a storyline well, you shouldn't have it in your story at all -- especially an issue as sensitive as rape.
There are very few movies that "revolve entirely around a single explicit rape scen...
Agreed. I know the story was cliche, but it was still great.
