Sure. Have "fun" with your interactive movies.
So... him giving it a score that he believes to be correct is a sign of no credibility. But lowering the score just to be more in line with what other people think would show credibility? What sort of backwards logic is that?
Playing as Terry does make it a better experience, so he's correct there.
I couldn't even bring myself to beat Shadow Fall, such a bad game. Looks like it might have killed the franchise too.
After playing through the entire campaign on legendary, I reckon it's one of the best open world action games of the generation.
I think Sumo missed a trick by not removing difficulty options and making legendary the default. Playing on normal eliminates most of the sense of progression, since it's easy enough from the very beginning on that setting.
Why would I call it average, when I believe it to be great? I'll call out the issues of co...
It ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but if the game doesn't do well enough it won't get any more campaign content.
They would have have talked it up big time by now, wouldn't you think? It's not exactly the sort of game you can easily add stuff to, like Sea of Thieves.
Maybe a few multiplayer maps could be added, but the multiplayer is the bad half of the game and probably won't stay alive long enough to warrant it. Maybe a wave survival mode could be added, but it's unlikely.
I'm more than happy to be proven wrong here, I'd love more campaign ...
"Even after cranking if up to legendary difficulty"
No, I meant starting the game on legendary. He "cranked up" the dfficulty after beating the game on normal, and he would have been around max level by then. Of course it was still easy, that's the whole point of leveling up in Crackdown.
Starting on Legendary is fairly tough - one of my first outposts took me over an hour to beat. But by now I'd be able to do the same place i...
I own a PS4 Pro. I'll happily tip my hat to games like Persona 5 and Gravity Rush 2, both great games.
But by masterpieces I assume you mean games like God of War and Uncharted 4... I found both of them a real grind to play through at times. I have no problem saying that Crackdown 3 is a more fun game than both of them.
They're not going to add anything major like Sea of Thieves did, not sure what you're on about.
So people can't like both Red Dead Redemption 2 and Crackdown 3 is what you're saying. Well I gotta say I very much disagree with that. Besides, I really don't think Crackdown 3 is a low quality game at all.
Don't know about that. I think downgrades generally get their own set of backlash regardless of whether the game ends up good or bad. I think reviews should bring it up, but still reflect the final product.
As an example, The Witcher 3 had a visual downgrade, but still ended up looking great, and the reviews rightfully reflected that.
It goes both ways, hype can often lead to inflated scores, so I believe all pre launch hype should mostly go out the...
Negative reviews aren't exactly banter. Banter would be fine, but that's not what you said.
Lol trying to act tough on a video game website... first sign that you're not mentally all that tough.
It's like I'm playing a different game than these reviewers. 3/10? One of the worst games this generation?
You could argue it's a bit formulaic, and it's mission structure is a bit dated. Don't even get me started on the horrific multiplayer. But the combat is great, especially on the hardest difficulty (which none of these reviewers played it on.) Good variety outside of the combat with platforming, which we don't see enough of these days. Car/spide...
Well it's good to see some people enjoying a video game getting low scores... of all the things to enjoy in life. Not at all pathetic.
Online shooters have generally been disappointing this generation. Apex is just more bland cannon fodder that will most likely die in a few months.
I play more than enough games for that to be a big deal. Maybe Far Cry 5 was close from last year. Do you have a few games in particular you preferred?
How far have you progressed? It gets better the more you level up your stats. Running, dodging and jumping fast into enemies with a shotgun is incredible at level 4/5 agility.
This is emphasised on the hardest difficulty, where enemies still put up a fight at this point. That's why I wonder what diff...
Yeah I'm not convinced with these reviews. Crackdown 3 is a great game, haven't enjoyed pure gameplay this much for a long time. It's just an amped up Crackdown, which is exactly how it should be.
I just cannot understand how it's scoring worse than State of Decay 2 or The Order.
@William - If Christopher doesn't admit he made an error, that would add to that theory. To be honest N4G has never been a great place to discuss games, too much hatred in a hobby that shouldn't really include any of that.
Crackdown 3 seems to be the latest example, many people on here almost seem happy the game isn't being received well.
He improves it, it's not like he makes up the whole experience. Just like how any good actor improves a game or movie.
You're picking at straws.
