Wow, who could have seen this coming??
As long as they don't gimp the game on Playstation to make it playable on the Switch, then I couldn't care less.
Why? Maybe you're someone who doesn't want to wait 2 years after everyone has forgotten about a game to play it? It's not like Xbox where they do day one drops for both.
Sure, if you don't mind waiting years after the game is mostly forgotten. I think this is Sony's way to keep people buying their console while also expanding to PC. It'd be great if I could play them all day 1 on PC, but I'm not about to wait 2 years to do it. Which is fine, I like having a PS5, and getting a massive headstart on their best games makes all the better. Furthermore, still plenty of Jrpgs and first party titles that'll stay exclusive it seems.
The kiddies love this game.
Amazing that you get downvoted for this. There are people who literally don't want a more accurate picture, for whatever reason.
...why?
It's dumb that they don't make any delineation between people that have bought the game, and people who have potentially just booted the game and nothing more without paying a cent for it. I don't understand why they can't just be honest and specific with us about the numbers? What's the problem?
Compare the library of GP and PSNow...enough said. You don't really think anyone is jealous of gamepass, right?
The websites work for the publishers, not officially of course, but if they say too many bad things, especially about the coveted Gamepass, they might get "accidentally" overlooked with regard to access, and no access, means no money.
@Silverhawk It's not rubbish, but it sure as hell isn't the Xbox savior that a lot of people pretend it is. And frankly, the library it offers, which is the most important thing about this sort of service is inferior to the competition. The one advantage it has, is that up until this point, MS has basically given it away for free. Presumably to play the long game and build up a subscriber base that'll stick around after the introductory price goes away.
Awesome. I really didn't want to have to settle for the choppy, low res Switch version. I would if I had to, cause I gotta play this game, but I'll wait for the better experience. Furthermore, I really hate supporting Nintendo and their anti-consumer pricing.
I was never really a souls fan, but this game definitely has my attention.
Pretty cringe.
I'm sure Xbox owners have been patiently waiting for something to play, and since they can try it for free, I'm sure they jumped on it.
The controller really is a game changer. Can't imagine using any other controller now.
No they're not. Furthermore, the "system seller" is the promise of many more GOTY tier games, which every playstation owner knows they will get, because they always have. Whereas Xbox is a crapshoot with historically pretty low odds. I know it's polite to do, and we all like to pretend that Xbox is in the same league as Sony and Nintendo, but if we're being honest...they're just not, and never have been, and I don't think anyone being honest expects that to reali...
The only way that happens is if hell freezes over, or they somehow manage to boost their supply well above Sony's. Superb game pass catalogue? You mean the catalogue that is not as good as the one on PSNow? I'll give Xbox fans one thing, their hope springs eternal. I don't see why they care though, MS doesn't seem to care about "beating" Sony, so why should they? MS has more than enough money to keep Xbox afloat in third place perpetuity, if you like Xbox for whateve...
Yeah, no thanks. Anything Microsoft gets under their thumb seems to end up...less good than it was before. They've done enough damage, frankly. It's a predatory company with horrible business practices. Don't like giving them money unless I absolutely have to. Furthermore, articles like this are a dime a dozen with MS, why is that? Considering Microsoft's history and business practices, I'm reluctant to give them the benefit of the doubt.
Weird and creepy IMO, but hey, whatever floats your boat, lol.
