Unfortunately I didn't, someone else made it.

Seems to be the only contribution, I'm gonna be using that phrase for a LONG time. :P
See: Modern Warfare 2
One of the best games this generation deserves great sales to compliment it.
It technically can still be called a expansion pack since there have been plenty of cases in the past where standalone expansions were created for games.
While I didn't mind paying $60 since I got a ton of fun out of it, the original $40 price tag would have been ideal for ODST, in the end the change didn't reflect well on Bungie or Microsoft even though the latter is more involved with such things.
To everyone claiming it is identical because content was cut from the PS3 version. HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE? Enough missions, side quests, towns, etc to make a entire game from WOULD NOT have a effect on technical performance UNLESS they do things that are performance heavy such as new animations for instance.
Claims that the game is bad now solely because of the Xbox 360 other than the DVD issue are simply baseless fanboy fodder.
Developers are still making games for the Dreamcast, even Sega released one in 2008 IIRC and rumors about Dynamite Cop 3 coming to the system are also spreading every now and then.
A Madden game was also released on the Xbox last year IIRC but that's about it.
Peter Moore may have been the guy who came out and announced it but it was more Japan than anyone else who decided to stop the Dreamcast. Plus, Sega really didn't have much money left at the time, how could Moore have ok'ed more Dreamcast's if they didn't have enough money?
Blame Moore all you like but MUCH more went into why the Dreamcast was cancelled.
Obama: Why not? Did the Internet Gestapo take away all Xbox's the moment the last game was released for it? I still have mine kept in my basement like all my old consoles, it's broken though so it isn't much use to me. :p
I've heard about this before but passed it off as a myth started by a bunch of Dreamcast Fanboys. Good to have some confirmation for the higher ups. I wish Microsoft would have wised up and taken the deal, the Xbox might have been a better success in Japan, Se...
Believe that if you wish, perhaps you haven't been a member of this site long or visiting it enough to realize how bad fanboyism has got or the cycles it works in.
Call me what ever you like, I'm a gamer first and I'm not a fan of console misconceptions regardless of what console it is so I do my best to try to correct wrongs. You'll have to go back further than just two pages to realize how I post on N4G. I could say the same about you, going back a few posts and seeing thing...
In regards to Final Fantasy, yes it has been, the main series that is, I'm sure many of the spin offs, remakes, etc have even footing on Nintendo consoles, but is it necessary or even required to post in almost every N4G article that the game is inferior solely because of a 360 port?
Agent is a PS3 exclusive, but in posts about Episodes from Liberty City or anything related there are usually comments about how the money magically went to fund the PS3 exclusive known as Agent.
...
Not exactly, I read all types of news, editorials, etc on N4G and it really translates throughout. Read any article about Final Fantasy 13 and you will have people yelling about the 360 version ruined the PS3 version of the game. How true this is, I don't know but nothing was ever stated publicly about the developer. Or Agent and how the GTA IV DLC payment is magically funding development for the game. How about any story regarding 360 tech problems in comparision to those of the PS3?

I think Natal will be the deciding factor, Microsoft has gone on record claiming they shut down Ensemble Studios and ACES solely because they didn't fit into the Natal vision. If Natal is a failure Microsoft will be in trouble, why? They shut down two prominent game studios with the hopes that Natal would make up on their behalf.

JHawk: That's the issues with consoles, they always get to a point where they have pretty much maxed out asides from a few areas which developers can still explore. The PC is one that doesn't suffer from this issue as much since you can always upgrade it. The problem is very few PC developers push a PC with a Crysis, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., etc since PC games don't sell as good as they used to especially in comparison to console games.
Nintendo and Sega tried to find a solution to this...
In my original post I did acknowledge that in some posts that was the case, but largely it isn't.
Interesting, I'll definitely check it out, I just hope it isn't cut intentionally from the game for DLC purposes, unlock codes, etc. If it was content that was cut from development for what ever reason (aka not with the intent to sell it at a later point) that would be cool too.
Its been a while since a PSP game has topped on NPD, months if not years! Lets hope VC 2 breaks free of the "status quo".
And yes I know about the NPD controversy on N4G, I'm s...
Like I said, there are some cases where I do speak out on a topic regardless of what console, company, etc, if I feel something is wrong I put my two cents in.
Again, you don't need to look very far, just click a bunch of posts on the front page if you like. Fanboyism has gotten to a point on this site where it's hard to ignore especially since the lines between the Gamer and Open zones are so blurred. I'd link you to a few posts but obvious "flaws" can be called out ...
No, you just need to step back and look at things neutrally, my writing job involves me presenting news and such with a neutral point of view to prevent any bias from influencing the reader. Because of this I've basically developed skills to pick up on such stuff. You don't need to look very far to realize N4G fanboy is very one sided either towards the PS3 or 360 depending on when you joined.
If you need more proof, feel free to check my comment history, I try to be as neutra...
You do realize there are more Sony fanboys on this site than Microsoft and Nintendo fanboys combined, right? It was different before, I guess it changes every few years.
A majority of comments on this site as of late have major disagrees for any pro 360/anti PS3 comments. Once in a while you will come across a post where the opposite is true.
I'm personally fed up with fanboys, 360, PS3, PC, what ever, reading their comments really turns you off from this site, ...
Dev8 ing: Some 360 games do have dedicated servers, a few even use both dedicated and P2P connections. Not all PSN and PC games use dedicated servers either, really only the major releases.
If people are your issue I think you can turn voice chat off completely through the guide or even privacy settings. Or just plug in the headset but don't wear it.
