4J has done some fantastic work this generation on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, this is good news!
Wow, that brings back memories!
Kind of funny since the Xbox had the "Duke" controller, the "S" controller, and the "micro" controller (might have been a Madcats thing). So there was essentially a controller for just about every hand size on that system!
Those areas usually aren't open at the same time (you're restricted) and even then, I don't see how it negates my original statement that it could be cut off. The cities in AC aren't all loaded in one seamless world after all like they would be in an Elder Scrolls game.
It could be "fake open world" like the Assassin's Creed games are where they have big levels but the world itself is isolated by load points connecting them.
Microsoft has plenty of IP's that they can use, why they don't is beyond me. Rare and Fasa alone have enough to last a decade or so if you release one IP game each year until you release them all.
THWIP71: This is news since they said Kaos would only be shut down if Homefront didn't sell well (which it did since it broke THQ's 2 million mark).
There have been a few examples in the past of a project being transfered to a different studio and zero support being offered after that.
The multiplayer is awesome, I'm hooked on the demo alone. It has issues but it's far more tactical than most "modern war" shooters on the market. I was planning on purchasing it but the fact that the developer was closed (despite the game breaking sales targets for THQ) has me rethinking my decision.
Fair enough but I think in general people on N4G are too quick to pass things off. The demo wasn't the best but I'm personally looking for a bit more footage before making a final decision.
So you played the game then?
GFWL is free...
Only Xbox users pay for Live, it's free everywhere else.
They've been doing this for a while now with Games for Windows Live, there aren't many games that use that specific feature but they do exist.
I've heard from a few people that saw it that the thing actually works pretty well.
My game area has enough room for Kinect but still, something like this can help give you a bit more leeway in terms of where and how you can move.
Kotick doesn't make games, studios under his company do.
You guys obviously don't know what "gen" means. The term "generation" is used to define a console era, in this case the "console gen" includes the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii. System specifications have nothing to do with it...
Why wouldn't it? WiiU is next generation hardware while the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Nintendo Wii are current gen (soon to be last gen now that the race has begun).
It's new Kirk/Spock. I don't mind that but I do hope we get a good classic universe game. The early 90s had great Star Trek: TOS games, especially the point and click games which were super faithful to the originals (and that's what made them so great IMO).
According to the original article he was able to hack Modern Warfare 2, wonder if the exploit was on IW's servers or something XBL related.
Not sure why people are surprised though, companies have been doing this for decades be they in the gaming, IT, banking, or gambling industry.
Edit: It's worth pointing out that it's pretty much be sensationalized by the publication as a result since it's been industry practice longer than most of us have ...
I remember reading somewhere that the game is a big deal for Poland, I guess this proves it!
Wanted wasn't a bad game, it was a $40 game IMO but if you were interested in the movie it provided pretty decent fan service. I only played the GRAW demo (have the full game on 360), it's pretty much a different game from the console versions gameplay wise.
Also, what GRAW controversy are you talking about?
Yellow13: The look and I assume a lot of the other decisions weren't Ninja Theory's fault, they were Capcom's.

I don't really know much about the story but if it's an origin's story I'm willing to give it a chance. Who knows, they might actually find a way to make everything fit together.
