BTW, I am buying an x still but they didn't really do a great job of making it seem a rush out now issue.

Unless you're a hardcore fan of a specific game and want the "best" Xbox you can then waiting is probably smart choice for most. My pro as you said is gorgeous and even basic Xbox is still going strong and will run the same games.

Anthem announced running on the X specifically before its demo did more than anything MS showed from th...

I already own a Switch, but simply from a "why to buy one" perspective Nintendo did a much better job with Switch than MS did with the X. It's great Xbox owners will now get an option for an enhanced experience like Pro owners get (myself included, on both counts actually), but Nintendo nailed the "here, go buy me now" thing without really pushing it even.

People can argue who "won" and what they're excited most for but nintendo in tha...

Personally I want a completely new IP as its what Nintendo needs more of still. That or a new and vastly improved upon older franchise title.

I want an Xbox hugs and kisses now :(

For me Nintendo "won" e3, but barely (Nintendo>Sony>MS>Ubi >EA=Bethesda is my personal opinion on how things went).

To think they basically announced or showed a new game for every month leading into the new year and several 2018 games as well all in a 25 minute video was insane. Even without showing Pokémon and Metroid but simply confirming them struck a cord with me. Something else shown would had been better, but now we know they're comin...

It's not our fault you were a terrible kid and your parents had to lie to explain why SC never brought you presents.

No downgrade at all.

They ever showed anything better than this or it was just the multiplayer destruction alpha which looked worse but had destruction (and was announced as multiplayer only feature to begin with).

That said, it doesn't look "great" but looks like Crackdown (your take on that is relative, not the prettiest game no matter what though).

Buy it on it, won't stop me from getting it on the X. I don't feel like buying a new gfx card till next gen chips.

Did you watch the conference? The last thing they said before introducing the person playing (maybe playing as it's sometimes staged) was explicitly saying it was running on the Xbox One X.

Metro was the only game confirmed as running on a PC.

X is a serious piece of hardware for $499 though. Anthem was running on it for example and was gorgeous. Multiplatform? Yes, but that kind of fidelity can't just be ignored.

It has me excited for what Ms brings to it next year (as they didn't show much this one, Forza looked great like always but all racing games now do and crackdown is fun but no visual powerhouse). Sad that not much really shows why buy it this year, but some will. I'm one actually much li...

I don't own a VR yet and probably won't buy one any time soon but a few looked great (a few older ones too). Bethesda has me on the fence more than any other Dev though for VR really. Skyrim and Fallout both were shown on it this year.

I have a feeling we will finally see a ton of great more modern rpgs and action titles out of Japan during TGS.

FFXV was really the turning point where these kinds of Japanese Devs started to show the power of PS4 in their games. Before that most were a bit more dated (Star Ocean 5 being one of the "better" dated jrpgs in a world of PS3/Vita/PS4 jrpgs). MGS was probably the first Action title to cross that bridge though but this year we saw a few more joining th...

I expect every S/X and base/Pro multiplayer game to have the same framerates as their weaker counterpart for parity's sake. Some might get a visual or resolution boost of course (more and more as we see both upgrades out in the wild) but Devs won't want any kind of actual gameplay disparity for multiplayer games. For anything more esport related it will be even more true.

Or that's one specific mode and there could be more.

Great conference for gamers, less so for the xbox specifically.

Many, many games shown are on my radar or are must buys already but MS needed something completely new from first party. Crackdown campaign barely got touched on so hopefully there's a hands on with it later in the week (show floor). SoD2 has potential but it's another 2018 game. SoT looks as fun as ever but I'm still unsure of longevity of it for me. Ori is probably my biggest game for One/W10 ...

Andromeda was developed by a former Bioware support team, not the main Studio. Until Andromeda they had not made any games on their own either.

Anthem though is being developed by the A Team so to speak, the ones behind all of their best games (minus people that have quit over the years, as some major players quit last gen and since which was already part of the stigma surrounding Bioware for years).

It should work like the Pro for any 1080p game. 3 options: no added support (some don't get Pro benefits but most new ones do and it will be even more likely with 2 upgraded systems being out), Quality Boost (textures, framerate, etc), or Supersampling which works "sort of" like enhanced Antialiasing making things a little cleaner even on the same lower resolution. SS is pretty much the common upgrade for Pro owners especially if it doesn't specifically say what it is on ...

That's a big If but who knows. If it's $499 I'll probably still be buying one day one but hopefully they prove why I should. I'm hoping every One on the show floor is a Scorpio build so we can get a ton of hands on impressions on top of the more atruxtured conference showcase. If they managed to do that it would go a long way on getting info out there better.

Yeah, I didn't even think zelda the first time I saw it (haven't owned a Nintendo console since GC until Switch so my Zelda comparisons are older) but reading reviews just made that sort of comparison a simple way to understand what it could be even if it's not the whole picture. Sort of like when Torchlight came out and people called it a Diablo like game. It's close enough to get some idea what to expect if you never heard of the new title before.

Never played it but was always interested as it looked like a Zelda-lite experience and it's usually how people described it.
