There is a reason why I use my Xbone for multiplayer games, and my PS4 for exclusive story games. Both systems have their strengths and weaknesses. That is how it goes.
Have you ever heard of run on sentences? I mean holy crap. Anyway...you can think $150 is crazy for a game controller, but as you can see the title of this article is stating that this controller is completely sold out (on first wave) and there is a shortage of these controllers. So while you may think it is crazy, obviously quite a few people did not. I do not see Microsoft dropping the price on this controller anytime soon. As far as paying $500 for a console? If you are so unimpressed, why...
TGS showed a lot of interesting games, but all in all it was a very unorganized mess. Paris was organized and really had a nice a nice little surprises. Both showed games that interested me, but Paris was by far the stronger show.
If you read any of the various articles out there, most are saying the VR experience is going to be quite expensive. We are talking about a virtual headset with a "smart" TV more or less built in. I agree that the $550 seems a bit expensive, but most articles seem to think that it is going to be around the same price as a PS4, if not more. $350 actually seems like a steal to me, so we'll just have to see what happens.
Awesome to hear! I get off work in t-minus 30 mins and am off to pick up my copy :).
There are some international retailers already taking pre-orders for the VR for $550 (in US dollars). It obviously isn't a verified price, but it might be a good ballpark.
Too bad Activision still owns Crash *sigh*. What I really want is a new Jak and Daxter darnit!!
It was a great conference. So much more organized than Tokyo. Deciding to announce Wild and Detroit at this conference was particularly pleasing and very smart. I wasn't planning on getting a PS4 until next year (Persona 5!) but this conference got me super excited and has me wanting to jump on board ASAP. Great job Sony!
@amiga-man They are sly with their verbage. "PS4 exclusive" means a full-blown exclusive, "PS4 console exclusive" means PS4 and PC and "PS4 First" means a timed exclusive.
I have been really impressed with this press conference so far. It has probably been my favorite this year, mainly because it has been organized and straightforward and is showcasing a whole lot more than I expected. Great job Sony! I will most likely be joining the PS4 club early next year :).
Sweet! i don't know much about this game, but I am always down to try out something new for free.
What exactly do you mean by "more games geared toward us"? Oh, I'm sorry, do you think girls only play games about Barbies and unicorns? My current-gen console collection includes (but is not limited to) COD, Witcher, Shadows of Mordor, and most recently Halo 5. I didn't realize I was apparently playing games not geared toward me. Look up "naive" and "ignorant" and then get back to me k?
I'm not even reading this article because the headline is so incredibly sexist in itself. Gamers are gamers, no matter what gender they are. I wrote an article a few years ago on the stereotypes associated with gaming in general. Newsflash: There are stereotypes about all gamers, boys and girls alike. I do agree that the industry needs to be reminded, in some cases, but in general there are an incredible amount of steretypes associated with all facets of gaming, no matter what gender you ...
You guys do relaize that in his ENTIRE statement @MichaelLito79 never once said that anything was "better than the PS4". All he is stating is that the Xbone has a lot of good thigns going on, and even more to come in the future. There is no denying that the PS4 is freaking great...but that doesn't mean that the Xbone can't be great as well. #2 doesn't necessarily mean a horrible system. At least this guys knows how to showcase what a system has without talking crap about...
This would be true, if the console were losing money; however in both the PS4 and X1's case, they are still both making a profit. Being #2 really doesn't matter, as long as you are still making a profit.
I will wait for the GOTY edition. Enjoy it guys!
Why not get both and keep one sealed?
..bout them socks, shoot pebble!!
I can't wait for this! I already have my copy (I got the console) downloaded, now it is just the waiting game. The Halo single-player campaign is where my heart is at, but I also absolutely love how Halo is always offering new and unique multiplayer experiences. On top of that, they offer the new exdperiences without removing any of the other multiplayer options. It is a win-win-win in my opinion.
I actually had a lot of fun with Dungeon Siege III in my first playthrough (I rented it), so I am excited that it is one of the first BC options. All in all, I am once again pleases with the offerings.
