I have had the honor of playing both Gigantic and Fable Legends. Gigantic was a lot of fun, but I have reservations about Fable Legends. It is getting there, but still needs quite a bit of work in my opinion. I am hopin the final product ends up being amazing!
I've really been enjoying Neverwinter! I definitely want to try Frozen Free Fall (I hear great things) and a few others on this list.
I have had an XB1 for over 2 years now and have never regretted gettting it. I absolutely love the game selection, and that just keeps getting better and better. I don't use the media functionality as much as other people, but it is nice to have. I also LOVE my Kinect, but I realize I am one of the few that does :P. I would say definitely try to get a 1TB hard drive if you can. The bigger hard drive comes in super handy!
You talking about Fable Legends? Not to burst your bubble, but in case you didn't know Fable Legends is way more LOL than Fable. It is fun, but don't expect it to resemble the other Fable games at all. Except for maybe the art style.
Sunset Overdrive is a great game. Unfortunately, a lot of great games don't sell well. It doesn't take away from the fact that it is a great game. SO was released during the peak of video game season...even with marketing, it still fell out of the spotlight to much-loved franchises like Halo, NBA Live, Assassins Creed and GTA. Obviously, it will be a bumer if the same thing happens to Scalebound. However, I just want to point out that just because a game doesn't sell well does NOT...
It makes me happy to know they are already thinking of a number six this early on...it means they have already written a cohesive story for at least a couple games. As long as the story behind Halo and Master Chief continues to keep me enthralled, I will keep buying them.
I had speculations for this game, until I went to the Live Action Time Report at PAX. The amount of work and detail that went into just the few scenes I saw was mesmerizing. More importantly, I met the Director and Art Director of the game and they are not only extremely dedicated to the world they are building, but are also very interested in meeting fans and hearing what they have to say. I am excited to play the first truly open world FF game for sure!
The only reason split screen is becoming the minority is because there are barely any split screen choices left. I like MS and Phil, but let's keep be honest. A big reason so many games are doing away with split screen is because the companies want you to buy more consoles. The more consoles they dole out leads to more games being sold leads to more subscriptions, dlc, and so on. It is a sad truth.
Personally, it is a great month for me. I don't own either X1 games, so I'm excited to try them out. I'm sorry it is a bad month for you, but I definitely wouldn't call it terrible by any means. Just because you already have them on PSN doesn't mean we all do. Hopefully they will be able to get you something good next month!

...in case you didn't pick up on it, that last paragraph is satire.
I think he is refering to GWG's new policy that they are going to have two new Xbox One games for GWG every month, vs. when they use to have just one new one and normally one from the previous month. They announced that they were changing this last month, so it is most likely this policy change that he is refering to.
I was not a fan of the MGS one at all...I agree some art would have given it a much sleeker and more noticeable design. To me it looked like a tacky take off of Iron Man...I also hated that it was two-toned. I would have prefered an all red console.
I am hoping for a nice LE Horizon or FF PS4 console, but if they follow suit of how ugly PS4 LE have been to date, then I am probably going to end up being disappointed.
I'm surprised nobody has started a war over the blue plastic Playstation cases vs. the green plastic Xbox cases. I mean, that is such bullshit. What if I want a blue plastic case for my Xbox dammit? Ugg.

I have no idea who is winning in sales when it comes to LE consoles, but one reason that X1 coule be ahead of PS4 at this point (once again only taking into account LE consoles) is that a large number of their LE consoles have come with X1 exclusive titles. That is definitely a big selling point. PS4 has a lot of exclusives titles coming out next year, so they have the opportunity to capitalize with exclusive bundles as well. In general though, I do prefer the designs I have seen on the LE X1...
I love playing VR games...in an arcade. Once or twice a year maybe. VR is fun for me, but I hope it isn't the future of gaming either. The ideal solution would be to have console gaming and VR to coexist, so that everyone can be happy. We'll see what happens.
By the way MS, I am still waiting on Kung Fu: High Impact 2 for the Xbone Kinect! I love my Kinect (I know I am one of a few), I just wish it had more games!

I have two main issues with this article. Foxtrot, while I do agree with your argument that a lot of IP's have changed from what they originally were, you tend to start at the first game and then fast forward to the latest game. MGS did not just become MGSV overnight; there were three other games involved, and with each one the IP evolved and changed a bit more from its predecessor. If I had not been visiting a friend and he had not suggested getting this game and playing it, I probably never would have known that it existed. Now that I have played it (and freaking loved it) I am even more inclined to pick up a PS4 than I was before. Word of mouth definietly put this game on my radar. I would have been so pissed off if I had missed this gem!
I really enjoyed Chariot when it was part of the GWG program earlier this year. I am excited to play through it again! I hear fantastic things about Broken Age and Super Meat Boys as well, so all in all I have a lot to look forward to this month!
