google buys youtube, buys facebook, buys sketchup, buys measuremap, etc. Now it plans to buy Valve... Poor Yahoo!, they should've agreed to MS with its initial offer.
Both coming out this holiday. Both be first day buys. Both going to burn our pockets. Both going to be great titles.
They might have utilized a feature only possible on the PS3. I think they weren't referring to the power of the PS3's CELL. Makes me wonder though on what could it be..
Nope. Nintendo, even how crappy Wii is to many people, is a mogul in the video-gaming industry. I could not even fathom the idea of Nintendo which has been here for around 30 years would give in to a company who has been in the console business for less than a decade. Yep MS got money, but Nintendo is more than happy that its present handhelds and consoles are selling like hotcakes.
Agreed Mr. Bubbles. BC is necessary for people who want to play classics on their next-gen console. Not all classics can be downloaded via XBLA/PSN. Moreover, you wouldn't want to pull out your old console and remove your new one away from your TV just to play an old game.
I know for console devs BC will be additional cost but I reckon it won't hurt that much so might as well add it.
Save this format for the next war because:
- DVD still thrives after more than a decade and even after the Blu-ray-HDDVD war had chosen its winner.
- Several companies/studios have thrown in their support to Blu-ray. It'll take a few more years for them to resort to another format.
- People have begun getting their own blu-ray players. Not all are rich and not all are stupid: Do not expect them to ditch what they have just bought because of a new format....
Do it on the xbox 720. Nuff said.
freakin' kids.
The best things in life are free...
I think by 2012 it is still seemingly impossible to download a full HD movie or game in a matter of hours. If there will be, I bet I couldn't afford such a package from an ISP.
Above all, I maybe one of the last people in the world who'd still prefer physical copies of games/movies with all those fancy sleeves and cases, over copies stored in my hard drive. Much more, I couldn't see how showing off the latter (as a personal collection) to someone would be better than the former. ...
agreed, sonarus. There's no need for a price drop especially now the PS3's picking up in terms of sales. PS3's on a roll right now. We never know when the momentum its on right now will abate or cease; and before it actually happens, Sony should've already done these cuts.
"Treyarch finally trump Infinity Ward"
Though the parting words somehow contradict: "Clearly they still remain in separate classes....There can only be one Gold Medal winner. Thankfully, Silver ain’t bad either."
I'd prefer to be a little discreet first until COD5 get those several GOTY awards too like COD4 garnered back then.
Anyway, I'm hoping COD reverting back to WWII setting would still be fun.
joypads all the way....
Sorry mate we might sound nerdy to you but that is why we are under a thread that has a phrase "limit of its capabilities" in its title. The numbers I just threw in and I just happened to read in some article about a NEXT GEN console, has just made me wonder what a video game would look like if they go beyond those numbers. I don't see anything wrong with that.
Motorstorm only utilizes 20% of the PS3 CELL’s power, Uncharted around 33% and Killzone 2 45%....
Yeah right Yoda...
The PS3's surely gaining ground after a humbling start.=)
"Motorstorm reportedly only utilizes 20% of the CELL’s power, Uncharted around 33% and Killzone 2 45%"
OMG Killzone 2 just utilized less than half of the PS3's power. Imagine if they crack above 60's---that mean's PS3 has brighter days ahead.
Little Big Thermometers!
There are some things you can't buy. And there are some things you don't wanna buy. Too bad for MS's efforts in Japan.
@ Jamie
Completely agree. No one benefits more out of pure competition but us, the consumers----Endless price cuts, awesome bundles, AAA exclusives, several console and online capability enhancements...This list could go on.
i think ill be enjoying platformers again when this comes out. LOL @ the green sackboy getting pawned so many times.
SCEI makes PS3 owners happier as the day goes by.
