To be fair, tons of free to play games never come close to the top ten. And it's also competing with other FTP games in the top ten.

It's an accomplishment to make it into the top ten for any game.

@sagapo

The PS4 Pro had the same GPU as the PS4, the PS5 Pro is switching from RNDA 2 to a mix of RDNA 3 and 4. The 40% increase is just the CU increase and doesn't include any uplift from the technological improvements AMD has done to RDNA which have been significat.

PS5 Pro is going to be a much bigger improvement than the PS4 Pro was, especially when you take into account the RT improvements..

What do voice commands and improving their Game Help feature and updating the controller software have to do with streaming?

But yes, it's true that streaming, remote play, share play and recording and editing videos is much better on PlayStation than xbox, especially when they give you powerful and easy to use video editing software like SHAREFactory for free.

The QR code is also really useful for people who use the built in PlayStation Competitions ...

The QR code invite is great for streaming.

All streamers need to do now is show the QR code on screen and people can join games easily without having to search for game lobbies or type in codes. I believe it will even open the game and take you directly to the match.

People can say what they want but the way this feature works is really good.

I'm sure it'll be like the current Slim where the base is digital and you can add a disk at any time.

AAA/AA games that don't have a 60 fps mode on PS5 are rare. The vast majority of games have had 60 fps.

And nearly every game uses dynamic resolution scaling, so those games will just automatically run at a higher resolution on the Pro.

This generation is already well set up for a Pro console in a way the PS4 wasn't, most PS4 games were made with a fixed resolution.

I mean, there isn't going to be a covid situation

If they sell so good that they are hard to find I would consider that a win, it just means more games will support it.

And I paid retail for my PS5 in the middle of covid so I'm not worried about it.

I don't claim to know the price but Tom Henderson said he thought the price could be $500 if Sony wants to sell it for that.

The PS4 Pro did come in at the same price as the original base price, but this gen has obviously been a lot different.

"Hell, I paid $1,300 for my PC over four years ago. It still blows my PS5 out of the water on just about every title. Sure there are some that might perform worse on their PC port."

You're bragging about spending $1300 to beat a $400 console?

You paid more than 3x the cost and it only performs better on "most" games...

And you can bookmark this, I bet the PS5 Pro will perform the sam...

Zero first, second or major third party console exclusives have lacked a 60 fps mode on PlayStation, 30 fps is an xbox problem.

The GPU alone statistically offers 40% uplift, and with PSSR upscaling games designed around the console should have a significant performance uplift.

And my understanding is that RT has been largely decoupled from the CU's in RDNA 4 so the performance hit from RT should be much less than on current AMD GPUS. And regardless,...

This will be the actual start to Ray Tracing on consoles, I'm really looking forward to seeing what PSSR is capable of as well.

I can't wait to see what games designed around this can do.

NMS doesn't have RT or take advantage of PSSR, and I don't think many would claim that its engine is the most graphically optimized to begin with.

And that's actually quite a significant resolution upgrade, and NMS uses DRS so that's upping the lower limit, the actual game could be running at 4k consistently.

And regardless, it's going to be a lot more powerful than what xbox has to offer.

Revenue is not profit.

And this projection is based on what seems to me like an extremely unlikely service growth rates.

And it all needs to offset the loss of more valuable physical and digital sales to become an actual net gain.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see many of these games return on PS+.

But money is guaranteed spent on a non-free to play game... And they still often have DLC and MTX.

People who play Mihoyo games will tell you they feel like they can play the games for free.

This argument seems like its people who play the game who are happy vs people who don't play the game and are mad.

Higher resolution and better post processing. Pretty much what's to be expected from a game like this.

It'll be interesting to see how games designed around it look, and what more conventional development tools like PlayStation in house tool and UE5 ect. can do.

You don't understand.

Sony is not part of this appeal at all. Sony wasn't even a part of the original FTC case. The FTC brought this case aledging that Micrsofts buyout of ABK would have a negative impact on the industry. They claimed that it would cause job loss and and that the consumer and the industry would be negativly effected from the buy ...
