Microsoft increases Game Pass price in Turkey and Argentina again, up to 100% depending on subscription tier

Imagine you started your games development 5 years ago thinking xbox was going to be relevant only to then release a game on a console that doesn't sell (esp. in Asia) where 75% of the users are S owners who only bought the thing for game pass. S owners have categorically got to be the lowest average spenders.
It's no wonder things keep getting delayed for xbox, why put any effort into a platform that's never going to return it's investment. We saw the sale...
They didn't close Japan studios, it was reorganized into Asobi which is making Astrobot. They are in the exact same building, Asobi was the name of a team inside Japan Studio.
I bet the standard tier turn into the wasteland that games with gold was before they turned it into game pass so they wouldn't have to give away monthly games or anything you could keep and boost subscribers numbers so Phil could release numbers months after they said they weren't going to reveal numbers anymore. (totally not another lie of course...)
I remember when Microsoft bought all these studios and we got all the articles about how Microsoft was going to bring back every dead franchise under the sun. Of course some people were saying they wouldn't even be able to pay for the games currently in development.
I think the fired people, closed studios, canceled games, multiple price increases and the gutting or their rewards programs ect. has answered that debate.
The leadership was all fired or left voluntarily, so this is unsurprising.
The thing is, they made exactly the game Microsoft and Phil wanted them to make, it reminds me of Lionhead who was making exactly what Microsoft wanted, then got closed down.
The platform breakdowns really show how irrelevant xbox has come for selling software.
1 Hogwarts Legacy Switch 41%, PS5 26%, PS4 24%, Xbox 5%
2 EA Sports FC 24 Switch 34%, PS5 28%, PS4 26%, Xbox 12%
@GamerRN
What are you even talking about?
You keep saying this and I saw at least one person literally link you to the Microsoft page.

"This doesn't prove or disprove anything about the rumors of either a price increase or a new tier."
You can ask Geoff Keighley about that:
"Microsoft has confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be playable on Xbox and PC for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass for Console members.
"BTW per Microsoft, ...
You are absolutely right of course, these guys actually defend getting lied too, they seem to want to be lied to, I guess it's easier than hearing the truth.
You can buy PS+ Premium for £120 a year game pass is £162.

I didn't hear anything about them removing MTX from CoD, are they removing the battle pass and paid DLC from Forza too, no more 20 dollar skins and battle passes in Halo I guess...
I guess no more 10 minute DLC for Starfield and getting rid of paid mods too?
I wouldn't bet on future Microsoft games not having DLC/MTX if I was you...

to be fair, things were different 'financially' during the FTC situation. nobody could have predicted the kind of inflation we (as consumers) were heading into.
Do you live on a different planet? That was only a year ago and that was the peak of the inflation due to COVID, inflation has actually gone down since then in many sectors. This is 100 percent about CoD and developmental costs across the board, not inflation.

Closing Arkane and Tango affected everyone who enjoyed their games, all the people who have lost their jobs were affected. I don't think many game pass subscribers are happy with how Microsoft handled those concerns.
You're not getting any more day one games from those studios and whatever studios get cut in the next round.
And the reaction shows that most game pass subscribers would disagree with you.
...
The outrage is about them removing day one into a higher more costly tier, going against exactly what they said multiple times and what the vision of game pass was.
Just six week prior they specifically told the press that they were not going to create sperate tiers. after rumors of separate tiers broke. On top of that they also lied in their case with the FTC saying they weren't going to increase prices because of CoD when questioned about it
If it was just about cost of living increases they wouldn't need the tiers and split off day one.
This isn't about cost it's about how they handled day one.
