@Atom666 would camera difficulties in the tightened spaces not support their immersion defense....? I mean the last thing I want in a super immersive game is for you to always have to be worrying about the camera. I'm not disagreeing that "immersion" is probably not the only reason for the switch and they're likely having an issue with the third person somewhere but still.
Seems about the appropriate response to a correct statement on this site.
I mean MS basically came out and said Scalebound development was unfocused and not progressing at the speed they wanted. And now we find out that Platinum was developing Scalebound, Nier, Bayonetta 3, and Astral Chain at the same time with a studio of like 200 so...... I'm not saying funds but certainly time, focus, and talent that seems blatanty obvious at this point. It's definitely not all Platinum's fault but they clearly overreached.
Awesome Easter egg, not done with Control yet but it's phenomenal possibly my GOTY so far. Hope it gets the attention it deserves.
@RememberThe357
I don't disagree but the list I had was like 60-75% of their games past 2010. In my opinion they've been an incredibly inconsistent studio. Again not trying to trash Platinum at all but them making a bunch of trash licensed games holds them back from being a top tier studio them being licensed isn't really an excuse.
So they had Scalebound, Nier, Astral Chain, Bayonetta 3 going all at once at some point??
The article says it was in development for five years, so 2014. Since 2014 they released or showed off Transformers, Star Fox, TNMT, Scalebound, Nier, Bayonetta 3, and Babylon's Fall. With only Nier and Astral Chain receiving better than average to mediocre reviews and Bayonetta 3 has been absent for years now. Rumors come out that Scalebound was cancelled partially due to Platinu...

Naughty Dog is on a masterpiece streak since the start of the PS3 gen, Platinum not quite. Not trying to be a chode if you really like Platinum games but I'd argue Platinum hasn't ever made a game better than any of ND's l...
I miss when peoples critique of a game actually had to do with the content and quality of the game, you know like the gameplay mechanics, story, writing, atmosphere, characters ect.....
Now people judging a game before it comes out on the perceived politics and censorship based on the decision of a studio removing smoking from a game while not being able to remember if smoking has ever been in the franchise...
The fact that this is a "story" wo...
It's almost like people called this kind of behavior was coming with R* and Take-Two years ago but were shut down because R* could do no wrong at the time.
They were talking about WWII returning to the pace of older COD games like COD4/MW2 or even Black Ops but it felt nothing like those games maps were simplistic, small, and uninteresting not only that but pace of play, time to kill, and time between deaths was as fast as ever, WWII most often boiled down to spawn, pick one of three lanes, and if you see someone first you instantly get a kill if someone sees you first you instantly die.
I know Advanced Warfare gets a ton of h...
WWII is by far worst in the series, it paraded around claiming to return to the feel of COD4/MW2 but displayed an utter lack of understanding what made those games so great, WWII's pace/tempo/feel we're insanely off base.
A whole slew of articles came out before COD: WWII saying this and despite my better judgement I actually believed the "it feels like COD4, MW2, Black Ops" hype and WWII was horrible, easily the worst Cod ever made. So while I'm glad people are enjoying it so far, I am going to be very skeptical, I bought into the cheap COD nostalgia trick once not gonna happen again. Would love to see it change my mind though...
That support has to go beyond the hardcore stealth game community though, obviously I'm not saying people should buy games they're not interested in but gamers on sites like this tend to be a lot better at finding reasons not to buy games and speaking with the wallet when it comes to not supporting negative practices in the industry as opposed to actually supporting fantastic SP games they so often beg for.
I mean crouching doesn't equal stealth but ok
We had fantastic games like Dishonored 1 & 2, Alien Isolation, Hitman 1 & 2, Deus Ex Mankind Divided this gen but people didn't go out and buy them, they ask for them on forums but fail to actually support them........
Imagine judging the quality of a game based on just one of the platforms it's on.....
I mean Outer Worlds looks fantastic but what a stupid headline... "The fallout game we always wanted"??? Really I know it's internet cool to hate Bethesda now but are gonna act like Fallout 3 wasn't fantastic? That despite some short comings Fallout 4 wasn't good? That Obsidian themselves made the brilliant New Vegas? That Fallout 1 & 2 exist?
Fallout 76 doesn't erase two decades of great Fallout games from existence last I checked.
It's not the worst one but it's a far cry from Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2 on the GameCube imo.
I mean it's interesting to see them doing something with Monkey Ball however I wish they were remastering Monkey Ball 1 or 2 aka the great ones not this fairly mediocre sequel.
@Inzo ??? But this isn't Uncharted, Spiderman, GOD etc..... I mean they're so clearly not saying third person games are bad or can't be immersive. They're so clearly not saying first person games with third person cutscenes are bad or can't be immersive. So why do people keep saying "Well "X" third person game was so immersive ha got you CD Project". I don't disagree that the option to play in third person would be nice for those who want it but if ...
