I guess Dragon Age 3 will bring in the threesome in gaming...
A full game shouldn't be divided and scored on separate portions of its content, i.e. single player, mutlyplayer, gameplay, graphics, sound effects, etc. It should be coherent in all fields. So, basically, if said game fails at certain part but is stronger in another, the overall score should balance between the two. You can't have a 10/10 if the single player is horrid and the mutlyplayer is awesome. No game reviewer or critic (except for fanboys) should ever do that.
Considering that these were the original developers and "fathers" of Diablo, it kinda makes sense, though I can't really think they can "compete" with Diablo 3. Still, Torchlight was pretty great and I bet the sequel will be even better, considering we still have years of time to beat before Diablo 3 gets released...
Oh please, please be cheaper than 500 bucks!
The video was 90 % Pachter shitting all over the place, and part of GT's sensation with Modern Warfare. Can you blame them for really (I mean REALLY) liking MW? They even gave it 8.5 for story in order not to appear biased... (and we all know how shitty that story was). As for Uncharted, I can't but agree... the game is great, really, it is... but it doesn't bring anything (ANYTHING) new to the table as a series or to the genre itself...
PS: Again, Pachter's r...
Get a hold over yourself, the game isn't even out yet. Sheesh people just have to let that inner fanboy loose every once in a while...
No one said Killzone 2/3 isn't a great looking game. But making a comparison with a PC game (like Crysis 1) is just... unhealthy and prone to a flame war.
Fanboy alert!
OK, OK, let me try this - Crysis 1 on PC destroys Killzone 2,3 and Killzone 4! CWUTIDIDTHAR!?
It doesn't look bad at all. I mean sure, it will look better on PC but this is fairly good.
Its a flood of WESKERS... RUN FER YER LIVEZ!
I know what it means for Valve but isn't that obvious? ;)
I'll be honest, some of those games listed are definitely NOT of the survival horror genre. Dead Space? It is a third person shooter (yes, SHOOTER) with some horror elements (setting, bits of scary set pieces, nothing too fancy). It is by no means a bad game (I loved it actually, reminded me of Event Horizon in a good way) but its no way near spookiness and fear factor of say, Amnesia: The Dark Decent. The same could be said about the new Resident Evil games and... oh God, I saw Fear 3 th...
Short answer: NO.
Long answer: Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooo.
Oh good grief, again with this crap...
You are kidding right? Just look at how huge Starcraft 2 is (the Single player + online competitive play + user generated maps). Diablo 3 is going to be massive both in terms of length and innovative gameplay additions (think new class combos, destructible environment, more traps, new professions, enemies abilities, co-op combat, arenas, etc).
Actually no. In a nutshell the author dislikes Final Fantasy's (XIII) turn-based combat, ridiculous characters, impenetrable storyline, the empty game world, repetitiousness and the fact that there's this promise the game actually gets good after 20 or so hours. Nothing, and I do mean nothing can convince a regular player to stick through god awful 20 plus hours for the "good parts" to start rolling, even if he is a die hard fan.
Now I know I will burn for this but heck, just my two cents.
Uncharted is overrated and while I will not argue that it is one of the best action adventure games on any platform, it has very little to offer in terms of innovation. Don't jump at me, just read through the facts first.
The whole story setting and characters have already been done to death and better (Indiana Jones + National Treasure + Firefly, yes I went there) and to say that the story elem...
Sorry. Should have stated: "Senseless, un-argumentative posts favoring Killzone 3 incoming."
Flood of PS3 fanboys and their "KZ3 looks better than Crysis 2" comments incoming in 3,2,1... oh shit.
Its just two minutes... nothing significant is revealed.
