Take the combat and apply it to an RPG of old bioware standards and we could have a new industry standard for rpgs. This won't happen though unfortunately.
Doesn't Sony have to approve the use of the BB ip though?
1st party PlayStation games always wipe the floor with anything on Xbox lol
Just snagged Hollow Knight for $9 last week. Turning into one of my favorite games in years. If it's still on sale I highly recommend.
TLOU2 alone cannot be missed if you enjoy quality gaming. So there's no way any sane person that enjoys gaming could choose an Xbox anything over PlayStation this year (or any year imo)
Clearly a poor judge of quality game design
I enjoyed it. It had glimpses of brilliance but unfortunately was mediocre overall. That combat system would have been amazing if the open world areas actually were done well.
I would kill for something to provide switch like functionality for my PS4/PS5. I've been waiting for years for remote play to function well but it never has.
You're right the campaign and pvp isn't as good as halo, but I'd say everything minus the story missions are still quite strong. If they improve the quality of the campaign missions and pvp for their next game I'd say they have a winning formula.
Well I mainly play destiny with friends, and in between big single player releases. You don't have to do everything, it's just nice having some sort of "goal" to work towards when you're chilling with you're buddies (ie. exotic quests, daily, weekly, seasonal objectives etc.). We use to repeat story missions in halo coop just for fun with no reward system or objective in place, in between pvp, and noone ever complained about repetition or grind. Now there's actua...
It's way better this way. Now you can have multiple saves and not worry about someone deleting your file to play the game. I wish this was available when I was a kid lol
Man there's not many MS exclusives that tempt me, but gears 1 blew me away back in the day and this game is looking sweet. Might need to get a PC in the next couple years
Destiny doesn't need to take anything off. People love to complain, and rightly so in many instances. Destiny, however, does a great job at giving you a very fun platform to sign in and enjoy with your buddies. No game has infinite content, and if you want to play for daily or weekly eventually you'll be replaying content frequently. There's lots to improve but Destiny also offers a lot to enjoy and doesn't need to take the generation off.
Destiny has had its ups and downs but it is a solid franchise that could be phenomenal with some improvements.
Kratos was in MK9 on PS3.
Sony and Nintendos first party studios are still holding down the AAA scene thankfully.
They said f2p was originally considered. From what I've seen I'd say the game should have been f2p with micros on cosmetics. Obviously it's not worth a premium price tag currently and the micros are ridiculously priced for a premium title.
Yeah I'm holding off for now but from what I've seen if they patch away most of the tech issues and add free content consistently (gameplay) they could redeem themselves. This was the multi-player game I was excited to play with buddies this year (monster hunter last) and I'm personally hoping they improve it.
So in 3-6 months check back and the game might be interesting and on sale
They don't need new ones. They need new game design to give everyone what they've been begging for, an open world Pokemon game. Personally I like the look of detective pikachu's and art style.
