Why the hell would you choose to show old gameplay footage of your biggest IP to kick off a new gen? Xbox is bottom tier, always have been and show no signs of changing it any time soon. How anyone could believe Xbox has ever held a candle to playstation blows my mind.
So this is what happened with days gone. A ton of low review scores that just hated on the story. And to my delight, I had a blast with days gone. Stoked for this game, very hard to take a 6/10 seriously when they say it's a great open world game but the story wasn't good enough. What kind of garbage scoring system is that?
Legendary game IMO. Hope they make a sequel.
I'm 8 hours in and can't put it down. Loving it so far.
I'm very excited to grab my PS5, however for me waiting one year is the sweet spot. My PS4 Pro has one more stellar year left in it, and waiting one year let's you pick up a new console in a bundle, plus the launch lineup will be discounted by year 2. The 1st year of a new console is a warm up year IMO.
Horizon, demons souls, ratchet, GT7? Did you watch the reveal at all? They're was even more, I can't even remember a stronger launch line up for any previous console.
Didn't expect the ratchet and clank demo to be the most impressive but it blew me away lol
Most impressive use of the ssd so far imo. The way the levels kept rendering instantly when you move through the portals, that's freaking next gen right there. Unreal.
More thoughtful traversal mechanics that are actually engaging should become standard in open world games.
My PS4 Pro is still a monster. Waiting to see what the launch lineup looks like for PS5. Might not even upgrade this year depending. All they need to do is announce a God of War or Horizon sequel for this year and I'm smashing the pre-order button though lol
3 is my favorite. 2018 had a great combat system but I didn't care for the way the world was structured and the boss fights were not memorable. I didn't feel compelled to play it again. I played 3 so many times.
Not very exciting when 1st party studios use a 3rd party engine. Looks amazing, but I'm more interested to see what something like the upgraded decima engine is capable of on the PS5. Let's see the launch lineup already Sony!

And in lost legacy the villain (a male) was also untouchable in combat. People are overthinking this, uncharted 4 was a masterpiece. 2 will always have the best story though.
To be fair on playstation majority of the heavy hitting studios are western. Not to say the eastern studios don't make great games, but despite Sony being an Eastern company naughty dog, sucker punch, Santa Monica etc are all western based.
My only complaint is that it isn't split screen. There's an option to add a second player then you get locked out of all the modes. Huge miss.
Who cares. Regardless of the comparisons or who has the more powerful hardware all I know is the God of War sequel running on my PS5 will be absolutely ridiculous. So stoked for the PS5!
No thanks. Just sold my switch today. Totally sick of nintendo price gouging and never putting games on sale. Not to mention the switch just collects dust. 3 years in and still no metroid, no mario kart, no mario golf, no thanks. The one game I paid for Nintendo network to play, smash bros, has garbage servers and lags frequently. Not sure what they're doing at Nintendo but maybe it's time they switched to software exclusively.
I enjoyed it but seriously, it was stylistically impressive but otherwise very bare bones. Weak mission design, minimal enemy variety, extremely repetitive etc.
