I really hyped myself up for one crazy exclusive announcement. Wolverine I guess technically ticks that box, but I can't get as excited over superhero games. Was really hoping for some of the rumors to be true (twisted metal, MGS).
I'm excited for what was shown, but I was hoping for a bigger surprise. Something from Kojima, a new ip from a big studio, or a new entry in a dormant franchise (killzone, infamous, resistance, etc). Still good, but hopefully they have a few more big games releasing in 2022-2023.
This is pretty cool, but I personally was hoping insomniac had a Resistance game in the works. Maybe some day lol
I'm still waiting for sonys answer to gamepass, and here they are nickle and diming people for performance upgrades. I love my Playstation consoles but this is very anti consumer. Step it up Sony.

Dualsense + headphones with 3d audio is such a game changer. Returnal is an amazing display of how much these features add to the experience.

Microsoft has the potential to start releasing quality exclusives on gamepass. That makes them a viable option for the first time ever in my opinion. But I've already played a good number of killer exclusives on PS5 over the past year, whereas Forza and Halo will be the first heavy hitting exclusives hitting series x. I think Microsoft's only edge is offering a cheap way to game via gamepass. I'm more interested in quality and there's no contest at this point.
WOW so smooth after the update. Have like 80+hours on my save so not about to replay it, but definitely stoked for part 2.
I still have 3 weeks on my gamepass cloud trial. I snagged a 3 month promo for literally $1. Ive been trying this game via cloud streaming and its worked flawlessly. Cool game!
I guess it's not my kind of game, as I don't find it very enjoyable. I'm currently playing returnal, and tried it on gamepass but it didn't click for me. Went right back to returnal lol
Returnal gives me metroid vibes and I love it so far. The Bosses are crazy intense. The runs are long if you want to really build up your character but it's super fun. Just need a temp save so you can close the game and return later.
Fair enough. Buying zenimax did feel like quite a weak move. After 20 years in the industry it is sad that they hadn't built quality in house studios, but instead had to resort to killing Bethesda for Playstation fans. It'll be interesting to see how gamepass plays out and how long they can take a loss for.
It's still great value for consumers when you get all 1st party games day 1. If Sony offered that I'd be stoked. Just because it's not sustainable for the company doesn't mean the consumers don't get a good deal, however long it ends up lasting.

WOW. The game is great. How can anyone actually review it as a 1/5 objectively lol. For me it is 4/5 minimum. I always wished these games would include more fleshed out platforming sections and stronger Bosses but still they are amazing regardless.
Yeah I can't imagine it being sustainable if they allow their 1st party studios to have AAA budgets for developing big games. It does bring amazing value, but I personally have limited time to game and have to pick and choose what I play. Very few heavy hitters on game pass for me compared to PS5. And next year PS5 is getting Horizon 2 and GOW Ragnorok. That'll be hard to top imo.
The pvp component is a total miss from Bungie.
As a PS5 owner I have to say gamepass makes Xbox appealing now that Microsoft actually has console exclusives coming. But other than Halo this year and Starfield next year, I won't be tempted to pick one up before holiday 2022 at the earliest.
He's right though. Microsoft has a lot of exciting games announced although release dates for a lot of the heavy hitters are up in the air still. I'm actually surprised how little Sony showed considering what Microsoft has announced. I really expected more from Sony. Insomniac bailed them out at the show.
