Am waiting for my Oculus DEV kit as I write... proper VR really is the next step we've been waiting for but it'll be a couple of years before it fully takes off (from a consumer standpoint) so I doubt it'll will be in any next gen console at launch.

They don't realise that the market of used game trading actually STIMULATES the buying of new games! they are totally deluded if they think they would sell anywhere near as many games as they currently do (MASSIVE PROFITS!) if they block used games!

Dude Huge has some good points (as always), doesn't always deliver them in the most tactful ways but he speaks a lot of truth.

Nintendo have put Nintendo in this position of gamer backlash, nobody else.
Sony have had to work their asses off, loose money, rethink plans, strive for gamers to just survive this generation and look like it's made them better for it coming to PS4. Nintendo have got complacent and lazy ever since they went 3D, which was fine for a couple of generations but will do them no good in the coming years. THEY need to raise their game and blow everyone...
It's far worse than the gamecube! I had a GC it had some amazing games AND was technically superior to PS2 in many cases.
SDF has it right, they could have nailed this gen if they had been brave enough to sell the console at a loss like Sony does - make it super powerful - invite the 'best' versions of X-platform games + their own first party games... I'd be all for that.

Factor in many people bought duplicate systems (2 xbox 360s) to replace DEAD RROD ONES!!! This BEFORE the warranty/repair thing. I know a few people who saw no problem rewarding MS shoddy build quality by going out and buying ANOTHER 360 to replace their dead one... that includes later on when the cooler running chip set versions were released.

The Wii-U to the Wii is no different than the 3DS to the DS. Improvements, tweaks, upgrades but NOT enough to clear current gen standards to be called 'next gen' without bursting out laughing.
The fact is Nintendo, since the WII, have been a generation behind and always will be until they hold back - launch last - and beat everyone else on spec AND game content. Can't see that happening.

Yep same here - been Nvidia cos of drivers/stability... only AMDs i've had were in my laptop (and Xbox 360) both of which died due to GPU heat funnily enough.
I think they are much better these days and I was considering a HD7970 as it's a great card for the money BUT as they are holding out on us they can forget about my cash. I'd feel I was buying 2 year old tech (which I would be) just because they want to play silly buggers in a game of one-upping NVIDIA.
This is an OLD story already known that it's just REBRANDS of 7000 series for OEM only (for appearances sake) - it may even cause AMD to finally release the 'real' 8000 series as 9000 series because of this stunt (which probably also serves them to look '2 better' than Nvidia with their 700 series)
