If they want to shift PS4s, releasing a MASSIVE title like GT6 on their previous console just as they release the new console is a bit of an ass-backwards move no matter how you look at it.

They should be looking at the future, early adopters, getting market share - not worrying about a bit of extra cash coming in from the millions of PS3 users.

Releasing on both systems with a MUCH upgraded PS4 version is the ONLY sensible option imo.

I think it will be £349 and out in March 2014 in UK.

I would prefer it in time for Xmas myself and I'd pay upto £400 for it IF the initial games are looking good.

@PurpHerbison Same here. Gameplay is vital but great graphics are very much needed to believe in a world as we play more and more stuff and age...

Which is why Crysis 1 is still so awesome. Good gameplay AND amazing graphics.

Crytek lost the plot from C2 onwards as said.

The 'shallow' part comes down to the player's imagination in a game like Crysis. It's ALL you - the player - that makes that game. I don't want story fed to me on a plate, or hand holding, or cut scenes every few steps (not saying FC3 has that but too many modern games do)

Crysis to me looked more 'real', because of the lighting and the way things moved.. back then that was a massive deal. It made me believe I was there crawling around prone in th...

I agree. There's nothing much they can do to warrant a GT6 on the SAME HARDWARE that already wasn't powerful enough to do GT5 justice!

Should have left GT6 for PS4.

Nobody was fatigued with crysis 1! in fact it could be played over and over again unlike any FPS before or since (at least until the crappier alien parts later on).

Crytek are blaming everything except the obvious.

THEIR engine and THEIR prowess was put to best use in Crysis 1. I felt in C1 the studio was unique and peerless in tech, immersion and feeling of empowerment and freedom.

THEN they started chasing the console $$$ and made more line...

ZOMBIES BORE ME TOO!

AM sick to the ball bag with zombie games (TV and Movies too).

However creepy mansions, realistic atmosphere and a sense of 'this could really be happening to me' does NOT bore me.

A good game based around dragons/dungeons I'm sure would be fun. All I said was the general theme of all that medieval stuff is not my preference. Am not stopping anyone else enjoying it (and said that too!).

Crysis one on PC wasn't average at all! not at all! in fact it was far from average FPS,the most empowering and open and immersive FPS of all time.

It is SINCE the console versions (C2) that they have become more and more generic.

Story really didn't matter in Crysis 1, so we never really moaned about it too much, why? because the gameplay was frugging amazing that's why! so much fun!

Now it's all gone overly story/scripted/bl...

In your opinion! If you don't like it - in the words of Cliffy B, then don't play it.

Those of us who would like to play it, great games done justice graphically with advances in tech, why be selfish?

I'm sure they can remake them and make new games too?

Resi 1 remake on Gamecube was beautiful, and I loved the original on Playstation 1.

And btw 'dungeons and dragons' bore me senseless - does that make me ...

The gamecube remake of Resi 1 was brilliant, remake the lot for PS4 on this engine and get back the old Resi spirit. Would sell loads!

It's LIKE uncharted but nowhere near as good. Barely any real interaction, loads of hand holding, you don't need to THINK for yourself at all.

It's basically an interactive movie laced with linear pointers and Quick Time Events rather than a proper self paced game.

I'd advise you skip it and not believe a fkin word any review sites write again.

I should have known the 9/10 scores were BS

4756d ago 3 agree4 disagreeView comment

they didn't... reviews say whatever they feel like these days.

Less interaction, tons of QTE (boring) and loads of movie style events and stop/start interaction. That kinda stuff bores me to tears. GIVE ME A GAME!! not a film!

Many shit games get amazing reviews!

From what I've seen there's way less interaction and more BORING BORING 'lead by the hand' and 'wanna be movie'...

maybe that's just what I saw in the first level(s) on videos...

Does seem it's getting good reviews for style and story rather than *GAMEPLAY*

oh and lara has a damned annoying voice!

The problem isn't about additional DLC/TRANSACTIONS it's about stuff purposely held back from a $60 game making the game LESS good value, less complete than it used to be.

Not all devs cheat us like that but more and more are trying to these days... anything they can leave out they WILL - then charge you later on for even MORE money - total price of the 'complete game'? closer to $100. $100 for the same 'complete game' you once paid an already VERY HIG...

I also love to own the CD of the bands I love. Something physical and tangible even if I choose to rip it to my iPod afterwards (obviously).

Even lossless downloads aren't so bad, but streaming without paying for it properly? it only pays the Lady Gaga's of this world (and who wants that?)

CLOUD STREAMING IS NOT GOOD FOR THE ARTIST. NOT FOR 90% OF THEM. ONLY THE TOP 10%.

IT DOESN'T WORK AND LABELS WILL BACK OUT EVENTUALLY.

Sorry for shouting but this streaming music bs really fucks me off. It removes income from an already starved artist finances and gives it all to the top 10% record companies. Small guys and indies get next to nothing.

No. sports are NOT like games. At all.

Nobody is gonna give a crap about "gamer x" outside of a few hundred nerds. The medium is about interaction. We have the game, playing the game itself is what it's about.

Personally I'm not a big sports watcher either but it is at least entertaining to those that are.

Are we about the love of the game or the gamers? as gamers we love the games themselves.

As football/te...

No.

Games are about interaction, doing things yourself. That is the very reason they became so popular. Watching them is PASSIVE. If i want to watch passive things I'll watch a movie.

@syngamer, well that's not my problem. It's Sony's. Anyone could have told them they NEED A gran turismo to get next gen sewn up from the off.

If they had NO GT6 that wouldn't be so bad? but to release it on PS3 AFTER PS4 is launched? THAT is bad business and a bit of a head scratcher.

As for Drive Club - it's not gran turismo and Sony should know that. (I may even end up preferring drive club, it looks cool but the GT franchise is MASSIVE...
