Looks like a cartoon on either format. About time they made the graphics/physics/gameplay match the level of their plots.
Yes it will need a good system to run highly detailed/modern games at 60fps min (less than that breaks immersion).

Bioshock WAS over-rated, simple. I was so up for it at the time but it was released with a slew of problems (on PC) and once you got past the cool story the underlying gameplay was plodding and badly engineered.

It's called being a gameplay and ergonomics fan. I don't let wanna be novels/movies distract me from flaws in games.
Same as movies, it's an known thing (and sometimes complained about in moviews) they are 'best' complimentary colours for the 'blockbuster' look in modern times.
orginal bioshock was all hype - this one probably still suffers from mediocre gameplay but overblown plot/story. Shame they can't get the actual gameplay part as good as they think the story is, the shooting etc? Splicers were the most boring/annoying enemies in any FPS - and the jittery animations and crappy slow speed physics didn't help. The garish cartoon world already looked dated on release and I think this will too (esp on console).
They are honestly over hyped...
Didn't say it 'would happen', am all too aware it won't. Instead there'll be a crash when people can no longer justify paying so much for games they can't recoup some cash back from.

Exactly, they also think blocking used games would only block people who BUY used games. Have said this before - i NEVER buy used games but i sell games I've bought new when i've finished with them! I BUY them for those stupid high prices purely because I have that safety net of selling it on if I think it's crap or selling it on when fully done - getting maybe half my money back? and buying MORE *NEW* games with the money!! the first game was overhyped beyond belief and turned out the gameplay wasn't that great. I am wary of this new bioshock, and this stunt sounds more like they want to PAY a site (or get them traffic) in exchange for a 10/10 review to garner pre-orders before other sites/users can attack it.
IGN has been the most non trust-able source of reviews for sometime, shit games getting great reviews while their pages are soaked in advertising revenue for said game.
