If you can't hold it you don't own it!
People need to realise how parasitic EA's business model is... they only greenlight games they can pump with MTs and season pass models. It's disgusting, and if you love the Burnout series (as I do) you'd rather see the series die then let them do that to it.
Doesn't seem like the kind of thing that will sell that well tbh. Aren't gamers sick of the mutation/virus theme? (Lol and not going to mention the obvious).
Would have made sense to pivot even more to the special forces/tactical vibe of the old Rainbow Six games.
Big part of why Modern Warfare did so well was because early on they really amplified the tactical/military vibe with the "Shoot House" mission, and made it about plain terro...
Maybe a new Battlefield, and R&C as someone said I think that's pretty much it .
Well done, that man!
Outwardly...it has more to do with validation than offence.
I think back to the 90s when DOOM was offending the religious middle class... parents were genuinely offended by the violent material...idiotic mentality of course, but I genuinely believe their core sensibilities/morals felt attacked. Much like Marilyn Manson's music did.
I don't really buy that today. We're so exposed to every pit of the human experience that I don't actually be...
That's the thing with outrage culture, very few of them are fundamentally offended, but they pretend to be because they know it "ought" to catch on with like-minded simpletons on social media etc
This has been out for many weeks now, and I uninstalled right away. The textures are good enough already and noticed no discernable difference.
Also the size of this game is outrageous. Wow.
That day bow bow song in GT4 was hilarious though
lol to anyone who ever says that, just show them a game on PC where it allows you to cap the FPS. The difference when going between them is crazy
From what I gather it's because of this CERO group in Japan, which Sony must legally comply with. The article is deliberately misleading as it suggests that Sony is actually taking an active stance here which they are not.
Lol that slide + sprint cancel move in Warzone will FUCK your controller up, they're not designed to do that.
I dunno, I wouldn't really blame the game at this point. Online shooters have a life cycle, but create the illusion they don't with infinite levels etc...it goes from the initial amazing 'discovery period' for first few months, a 'settling in period' when first batch of new content drops with a resurge around the Christmas holidays, and then what happens is the 'hardcore' contingent of players gets better at the game, more regular players drop as the gameplay l...
These were always hilarious, playing Fallout 3/NV/Skyrim but for some reason everyone is naked is just comical.
That's very true. Even with GTA V, I think its lasting legacy will be the story, not the forgettable online.
As for RDR 2...it's not even up for debate, the tale of Arthur Morgan will live on in history, they'll be talking about it in 20, 30 years time as an example of how powerful a game can be as a narrative vehicle. RDR Online prob won't even be mentioned.
It's fun and hilarious. Shamefully I'm only getting to play it on PS5 now with the PS Plus collection and loving it. Can't wait for the next one.
I think they knew from the outset that they couldn't plausibly riddle RDR 2's world with wacky and hi-tech micro transaction content. GTA's world is virtually limitless however...and I expect that to continue with GTA VI.
Back in 2009, T2 said they were disappointed with GTA IV's DLC sales. That was more than ten years ago however, and it was very much ahead of its time. I hope they consider it again.

I think they should try it again as a test. They were unhappy with GTA IV's DLC sales results but I think that kind of content has come a long way since then, and consumers would have far higher chance of purchasing.
I am aware of how much money micro transaction 'whales' (read: addicts/idiots) make for Rockstar but I think they should give single player DLC another chance. Red Dead 2's world is too amazing NOT to give another amazing cinematic experience a...
Good on them for asking -- wonder why more companies don't do this...yes maximising revenue is all investors give a shit about, but it is well worth thinking about long-term implications for just whoring every series out as a big mtx-based cash cow.
