Giovonni, I kinda see where you're coming from but I quite liked it
I have this weird thing with Fallout 3 and New Vegas where I find their awful gamebryo graphics part of the charm.
Now that is a neat concept! I am sick of the remaster obsession. It's cool for remakes of genuinely older games (the Crash Team Racing remake was amazing), but the likes of The Last of Us getting a remake is ridiculous.
May I suggest Kane & Lynch?
The second game is a piece of art in terms of aesthetic and horrifically grim minimalist storytelling. But a pretty shit videogame.
All CoDs are not created equal. The Infinity Ward ones are generally thought to be of higher quality.
You're in the minority there. I remember everyone I knew being blown away by GTA 3.
I don't think you door buy it , it genuinely sounds like you don't like it based on the beta so why torture yourself!
Considering it's quite a big package overall, 5-6 hours is more than fair. However if you seriously hate MP then just rent it or something.
I genuinely enjoyed the beta, Infinity Ward make great fps games.
I think they should leave the series behind. And I say that as an absolute fanatic of Fallout 1-3 & New Vegas. Obsidian is a VERY different team from the guys who made New Vegas.
I actually hope Obsidian can turn the Outer Worlds into something amazing with no.2 . The first game had a magic spark but it felt unrealised in many ways.
Par for the course in this very unwell industry
Even though it's F2P I'm genuinely surprised that many people are playing it.
I do suspect it will drop off however.
Overwatch had a remarkable fall from grace. The buzz around OW1 from it's beta to the first few months of release was IMMENSE. Game was a so much fun at the start.
As with many AAA series, it got turned into a soulless corporate cash-cow. Hopefully gamers start to "properly" turn away from this joke and life can be breathed back into gaming again
I like them trying something different. NFS needs something to reinvigorate it.
Yes it cheapens the game. But this is definitely the actions of Activision, not Infinity Ward.
I imagine it's the marketing folk at Activision, it's just commercially successful music. Look at the Billboard charts, it's mostly rap
These celeb trailers are ordered by the publishers, I imagine most of the IW devs resent it existing
I wouldn't be surprised if they have at least one controversial mission. Maybe one where you inadvertently kill civilians.
That's kinda interesting. So the game is going for photorealism but the characters are cartoons and there's anime type effects?
Hey it's something new. I wonder if that can be turned off?
I played it the other day and I'm still not impressed at all. It's a 7/10 game, albeit with an amazing aesthetic/universe....I think that's what will always make the game so stinging. It could be amazing, and should but it isn't.
I keep thinking while playing it, if Rockstar had the IP and tried to make a deep RPG, they probably would have made something brain-meltingly good. They're the only studio that can make convincing open worlds of that ilk.
It's an age thing. I'm always reminded of this when I whip out the old PS2, the vast majority of 3D games from the '00s just haven't aged well.
A standout mission in a really enjoyable single player campaign. The voice acting was absolutely superb.
