Hmm, Kojima did say you could play DS without actually shooting or fighting. So, I think he's definitely going for open-world survival gameplay. I don't think urinating was just a funny showcase. It had a ml gauge to it too. I'm guessing the gameplay will involve keeping the main character fed and hydrated too.
I think the objective is to create more "strands" i.e. links between the peoples and cities in post-apocalyptic US. Sam's deliveries are pa...
Really hope he shows us a proper demo at Gamescom. I still can't tell if it's a horror shooter or open-world survival game.
Though I know I'm still getting the game because it's Kojima and his game are mindfucks :D
I agree, and it depends on the game. Some games which are designed to be challenging (e.g. Dark Souls) purposely do not use autosaving because you can easily die from mistiming while fighting against a weak grunt. The entire point is to make the game feel like anything can kill you and render your last half hour of play terminated. It is designed to be extremely punishing.
But if the game is not designed that way, I see no reason for not including auto-saving. At the very l...
I'm really excited for this game but I want to see a proper gameplay demonstration. So far, we've only had small snippets and loads of cutscenes. The game looks gorgeous and the cutscenes are so damn good, but I wanna know what the gameplay freaking entails!!
That sounds interesting. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this. Hope you report back once the story does unfold and the scales get intense!
Thanks for the info!
I never had any issues with Awakening's gameplay. It's just that the story was too predictable and each character was your typical anime archetype. I have no problem with the archetypes per se - so long as there's a compelling plot. Personally, story is what motivates me to finish a JRPG and not gameplay. That's why I gave up on Awakening not long after Lucina reveals herself and leaves.
But if you report back that Thr...
Hmm, so... good story, persona-style school sim, deep battle combat, interesting characters.
The only FE game I ever played was Awakening and the story was extremely boring, so maybe I'll give this one a try.
Uhh, the weird character models isn't due to the engine but due to whoever the designer is. Have you seen UE4 games? They vary hugely in model design and some of the best looking games out there are UE4.
Yakuza uses its own engine made by SEGA. And SEGA is not involved in Shenmue 3. Sure Yakuza series is inspired by Shenmue but YS Net developers are likely more experienced with UE4, a much more common and open engine, than the Dragon Engine. Plus, who knows how much roy...
I believe it's what FFvs13 wanted to create. But the game was cancelled and reboot before the team could quite figure it out. The FF15's development was more about 'how can we finish this project on time' instead of 'how can we reach our vision.'
Interesting, I had no idea he would be so deeply involved. Wasn't his background economics? He seems to have taught himself just about everything to do with game design, including programming and business management.
Still, there are plenty of indie and AAA developers out there who do the same but don't attach their name in such an egotistical way :P
But without a doubt, this man is one of the most talented game developers in the world.
It's Nomura and Kitase. I'm pretty sure despite their titles, they're working very closely together. After all, Kitase directed FF7 and Nomura was a part of the core team.
Blizard, I backed them on Kickstarter. All the information through emails and whatnot said that Steam would be the platform it would be released on.
In the survey we had to take in order to choose between PC and PS4, it very clearly said Steam. Been very very clear for 4 years now.
I think it's homo demens. Which is latin for insane. And probably a pun of homo sapiens and demons.
I think it's Troy Baker that leads the Homo demens. Mads might be involved in something else?
FF13, FFvs13 & FF15 development is the story of Square Enix's bad management and staff's snail-slow next-gen learning curve.
FF13 was a hot mess because its core game design & engine went through development hell. The team could struggled to figure out how to make a modern JRPG in the HD console era. That's why FF13's combat and world exploration turned out horrifically bad. FF13 was released after 5 years in development (2004-2009).
I have to agree with djl3485.
FF name + mega budget marketing campaign will get those sales. And let's not forget Square's last financial statement. They apparently made losses since FF15 was released. Of course, it's mainly due to bad management and not exactly the game itself.
But the point is, it went through a lengthy development hell before it was released. 10 years this game took to be finally made. 5 of those years were by a full deve...
I remember how easy KH2 was. But KH3's difficulty was a joke. I died maybe once or twice in the endgame and I knew it was because I wasn't putting much effort and simply button-mashing. Because button-mashing was all you needed to do to beat everything.
Judging from Inquisition and Andromeda, I have very low expectations for Dragon Age 4.
There will never be another game like Dragon Age Origins.
Mate, even best girl to absolutely die for Xiuying the Wise couldn't convince Ryo to abandon revenge so of bloody course DarkSniper will choose to kill Lan Di right there on the spot.
Such a bad player. The guy speaking to him had to point out twice he had Limit
