Im happy with both my PS4 and my Xbone, but the fact that in 2014 we are buying machines that struggle to output games in 1080p/60fps is kind of pathetic. I think 1080p should be the absolute minimum standard for new devices.
With 4K screens starting to break through, the gap between PC and consoles is only going to grow.
That said, I'm not going to boycott sub-1080p games - just not happy.
Haven't tried all of the games that were listed but after picking up DMC on PS+, that is the one I disagree with the most (besides the lack of GTA/Bioshock as others mentioned).
Its definitely not a bad game, but nothing about it screams best of 2013 to me.
Its probably a bit of column A and a bit of column B. wouldn't be surprised if the Alpha textures were in the final build, just with more post-processing or lighting added, or something funky like that.
Also don't really care personally - looking forward to getting this on xbone
All this fighting in bright, wide open areas. Doesn't seem as stressful/challenging as the last game.
Sprint offers to pay your early termination fee from ATT to switch
Comcast offers to payout the rest of a Fios contract to switch
M$ is offering $100 for a PS3 OR 360 to switch
Really don't see the big deal... Although I personally wouldn't trade either a 360 or ps3 for only a $100 voucher
I typically don't like white electronics but that looks pretty cool
Wish they weren't coming out so close together - cant wait to pickup both
I'll buy a game here or there just simply on value alone. What makes me go "buying crazy"?
Typically alcohol.
Surprised its able to look as good as it does, knowing that its based off the good yet very dated Source Engine.
Haha I know - article was specifically talking about the 2 month mark. Its a great system - im just waiting on the next wave of games to arrive
The Good: Awesome system all around.
The Bad: Exhausted all the launch titles already.
Hope this doesn't negatively impact amazon's deals for PS4/Xbone/WiiU games.
That said, I'm just biased because I have 0 interest in this thing.
Playstation Now isn't going to be free though?
"Backwards compatibility" seems misleading to me. I dont think the premise is that "I own the PS2 game on disk, so if I put it in my PS4 it will play".
Instead that they are just going to be offering streaming versions of the games (for sale) via Playstation Now (having owned the disk will have no impact).
Really like the art style, but not really wowed by either of those screenshots. Need to see it in action
No amount of talk is going to change the fact that Sony put out the more powerful machine, thats not debatable. Im just surprised how many people from M$ keep getting bated into these topics.
They should be trying to play to the systems strengths - aka the exclusive titles that it has. Instead they keep bringing up multiplatform titles, where the PS4 is always going to have that hardware/performance advantage.
Loved these game, hopefully it is a new Crackdown
But thats just it, you are making an assumption that M$ and Sony can "push out the same amount of consoles per week".
The truth is, none of us have any idea how many consoles each company is able to ship per week. Judging by profits/revenue alone though, M$ is in a far better position to absolutely flood the market with Xbox Ones, since they have the cash to burn. Sony on the other hand, has to play it relatively safe since they are losing money/stocks are falling,...
Why is having unsold Xbox One's inherently terrible for MS? If anything that just indicates that they are able to meet demand, and yet are still collecting record revenue.
If anything, Sony's inability to meet demand is costing them - if they were able to ship as many PS4's who knows how much money they would be rolling in right now
My PS3/360 have gotten far more use than my PS4/Xbone since launch. Going back and picking up old games again, waiting for something new to come out on the new consoles.
PS+ freebies have also really rejuvenated the ps3 for me.
