Wow lots of haters just because M$ picked this up. I personally think it sounds pretty excellent.
Especially for games like madden I would gladly pay $5 a month, rather than be stuck with a $60 disk.
Does the $100 cover the ability to stream old PS games? Then Yes.
If I need another subscription on top of my PS+ to do that, then no, my PS3 and PS4 are fine.
I understand why they didn't go with the same white for the track pad - but not sure how I feel about black either.
Overall nice looking controller though
Do people consider the 360 and PS3 Current Gen still? Its been a few months, so even though they are still great systems and very much alive - those are "last gen".
We are now on "current gen".
Loved the first planetside, and wanted to love planetside 2 - but couldn't get into the controls/something felt off.
Cant wait to try it on PS4 - hoping the jump to couch and controller will be as good as I'm envisioning.
Does the resolution drop make text appear larger? (HUD, etc) I could see that being useful for people on various HDTV's.
That said, even its a minor performance gain for 720p, id likely keep mine pinned at 1080p always - even if i'm squinting at the chat box from 8 feet away.
The better question is - is the game worth getting? I thought the beta was enjoyable enough..)
Was hoping the "without effects" shot was going to be of GTA3 or something haha.
Seriously though, game looks great even without the bells and whistles
Am i missing something? Those didn't seem to be that brutal.
Had they come from anyone but EA this would be a non-story.
Does EA suck? In many ways yes, but wow people are sensitive
Great hire, and congrats to him.
Technically disappear? I doubt it
Disappear in the sense that once games start looking/performing very close to each other on either machine to the point where noone except die hard fanboys really care? Sure
Its no secret Sony is having some serious financial issues (and specifically PS related, I mean the company as whole) - so layoffs had to happen. Other people leaving on their own is just a part of life - found the right time to move on to something new.
Sucks for those that are losing their jobs because of this though
Gorgeous game, interesting to see some of this behind the scenes stuff.
I hope they are working on a sequel - loved Ryse, was just too short
Sweet looking card but way too rich for my blood. I think that pricetag is more than what I spent on my last 3 rigs combined
Gotta commend Sony for trying to advance the genre - someone always has to take the risk.
That said, I can definitely see this not being a huge commercial success - going to really need some killer apps to get people to pay out the likely 300+ price tag for a console specific peripheral.
I only think this will be a "bad idea" for sony if they really handle it poorly - but right now they seem to doing just about everything else right
Not sure what people were expecting when they bought this game for a Campaign mode.
Do some research and if an online only multiplayer title isn't for you then don't buy it.
Im loving this game at the moment and honestly think it deserves alot of the praise it gets. That said, when I pickup Infamous, im not going to be like "Where the hell is my multiplayer - This game sucks!"
...so I guess that means my launch controller is doomed
and im sure a lot of xbone owners want to play Infamous. Yet another article to stir the pot
...It can also be.... a hat
Nice - been waiting for that update. Just another blue light in a dark room that wasn't needed while watching movies, etc
I really enjoyed the beta, but agree it shouldn't be called an MMO.
Planetside is an MMOFPS - Destiny just doesn't have the MMO feel to it. Just like I don't consider GTA online to be an MMO.
May be something as simple as the lack of communication/cooperation, but it lacks the "massive" feel of true MMO's
