How about having to really look at the Power button vs Eject Button.
Maybe i'm in the minority, but I always forget which one is on top - and definitely end up pressing wrong one.
Well I guess its good they didn't come out and say "It wont be as good as the other ones!"
Haha fair enough - I just really want the game to be excellent
Star Wars Battlefront... disappointing?
HERESY!
Also, not sure what signs point to Bloodborne possibly being a disappointment, although I agree on Evolve. That looks very hit or miss imo
Definitely excited - the remake looks incredible.
I just hope getting back into the old RE controls isn't too brutal.
I wish I could art
Not going to lie, one of the main reasons I bought a Wii U was because of the possibilities with Virtual Console. So many classics I would absolutely love to replay.
That said, while the offering is decent, I have found that Sony has almost done a better job of getting PS1 and PS2 classics available for play/streaming.
I don't have a N64 anymore, and would love to play some of those titles, not just NES and SNES games.
Beta is a blast - have very high hopes for this game
So does Bloodborne focus more on a select few weapons (like DMC) or does it still have the various weapons/weapon types like in the Souls games?
(either way that sword and hammer look saweet)
I just wish there were more planets. Revisiting the same few areas over and over and over again is why I havent really stayed with the game.
Otherwise agree with the author though - had a lot of fun when I was playing it.
Man this site is chock full of Fanboys.
"Good news for the gaming industry? Awesome!"..."Oh wait it came from M$, better mash the disagrees"
I haven't played it since it first came out on PC (due to other games coming out), but I just picked up a PS4 edition over the holidays. Excited to get back into it honestly
My only knock on it - is that I found it decently hard to pick up and play. Really took a while to get the controls and nuances of all the travel skills down.
That said, after some practice I really do love the game. Fun to play, and the writing was actually solid/very funny at times.
Sweet jebus thats pretty. I wish I knew which racer to get. This, Forza Horizon 2, The Crew, or....
Not terribly impressed with their list. Feel like there are far better options coming out next year imo
1: Saints Row 4 - Done with that
2: Resident Evil - Alright, i'm excited
3: Dying Light - Looks good
4: Evolve - meh
5: The Order - Seems like another KZ to me (beautiful but short/ultimately shallow)
6: Battlefield Hardline - meh
7: DMC - meh
8: Final Fantasy Type 0 - I have high hopes
9: Bloodborne - Love...
But only part* of the game is in your hands. The other part is on a totally different screen some number of feet away.
I get the point, but even though tilting my head down to look at the controller, then looking back up to the TV seems minor - its just enough to break the immersion for me. I personally would rather have dual monitors next to each other for that purpose, then a screen on my controller.
What the hell happened to Drake's face?
Every time you have to look down at the gamepad, it breaks concentration from the primary screen/tv. I have a Wii U, and I never understood how the gamepad somehow is "more convenient" then pulling up a menu, or having a minimap on the TV...
That and the PS4/Xbone controllers just feel significantly better to me than playing on the gamepad
A terrible direction for gaming. As prices rise, soon you are going to focus on speed running games just so you don't keep the meter running, instead of enjoying it for the actual experience it delivers.
I hope this model is the exception, and not the norm.
Thats true - sometimes its hard to tell if the button is registering an actual button press or not. (So far I've been pretty lucky avoiding crashes though.... <knocks on wood>)
