They forgot to complete the statement:
"Best game of the year 2014.... that you can buy for $15 in Spring 2015"
1080p will look great, but at the same time that likely rules out 60fps which is a shame. 30 is fine, but I always love how buttery smooth 60 fps looks
I want to shave with a hidden blade
One of these revisions I feel like they should take a look at the Power and Eject buttons again.
Maybe its only my console, but I feel like turning the console off/ejecting a disk with the actual button is a huge pain - its like it doesn't always register the tap.
Only possible hardware complaint I have haha
Always loved COD gameplay, but are they still using the same engine as the old games? It looks a little dated from those clips
I don't think its been misunderstood - some people just care more about the politics around the system then others. I could honestly care less about the xbox one negatives listed in the article:
1) "Developer-Friendliness
2) DRM / "Always Online" policies
3) Sales Figures
I understand exactly what my Xbone is. A compliment to my PS4 for the excellent exclusives it has coming.
Seeing the font just makes me think of Sunset Overdrive. If anything its free advertising for a MS exclusive on the PS Store.
Good call! I'm using a USB extension cable right now instead and it sucks - thats definitely worth a $2 purchase
Build quality is great (don't have the rubber issue), but the battery life on my launch controller is terrible. Was used to my 360 and PS3 which would last for days, now the DS4 feels like hours. I basically now just play with it plugged in when I can
Didnt help that the charging cable that was included was like 2 feet at best.
Holy hell I used to love this game! Didnt even know it was on a console haha.
Of course worth in a game is totally subjective, but I definitely have a hard time justifying $60 for a singleplayer only game that can be beaten in ~6 hours. Having the multiplayer aspect at least gives the sense of replayability - even if the mp sucked.
If Destiny didn't have the MP/online capabilities id probably stay far, far away
Seems like a fair review - although I would've liked to hear more on the endgame. Basically he summed up the endgame PVE and Crucible to one sentence...
So many sensationalist articles - if anything this is good news for the gaming industry. 1) Small indie dev makes a game. 2) Game does incredibly well. 3) Major studio pays dev big bucks to continue making game(s). 4) Next indie dev steps up
This isn't new, and it sure as hell isn't going to drastically change the gaming landscape as we know it.
Had fun playing the Beta with some friends, but am waiting for this to drop in price a bit. I knew the game wasn't going to be massive in scope as I hoped, and the (soft*) level cap at 20 kills me.
Will definitely get it, and likely enjoy it - but it sounds more like a $40 game at the moment.
I get your point, but I highly doubt the Morpheus would still be around for the next generation. VR is still too new - I'd bet that if it does catch on, we would see Morpheus 2 within a few years (or at least launch alongside PS5).
Ah nice, thanks. Definitely more useful than the preview video
would have preferred screenshots to youtube compression
Wow the sony fandom is brutal. I love my PS4 but its great to see how many children decided to pick it up as well.
Still getting it for PS4, but that is pretty funny. People need to lighten up around here
Price cut definitely worked. While I still use my PS4 far more than my One, a bunch of my friends picked it up over the holidays and love it.
M$ needed to get more consoles to consumers to judge the experience for themselves, and really get their ball rolling for this gen. Even with the price increase now, Its far more justifiable to buy a system when all of your friends have it (even if its $400 instead of $300).
