Sucks for them, but I'm honestly surprised how few hardware incidents we have heard about from any of the next gen consoles.
Hardware failures happen, and while unfortunate I think its impressive how few launch users are having issues. (knocking on wood while typing this)
I keep seeing pictures of this controller - is this just a demo unit or is that the finished product?
Without any type of coloring or symbols it just looks so dull, and button location/shape/size on the front look like something from the 80's.
Please get this right! Sounds pretty sweet
Title needs a "Ba dum tiss" after it
I hope that to use a shout, you have to scream at kinect.
My landlords would evict me
Why limit the game then? Id be pissed if a Battlefield of a COD came out and forced only 6v6.
The developer said it was possible to play the game with more players, but are enforcing a limit. If someone wants to play on a hectic map with 20 people, why can't they?
All they did was take the option away from the individual player - why is that a good thing?
Plus their childish response to fan backlash was a nice touch
Just like they currently sell the $50 one year PS+ subscriptions for $60. Of course they want in on this
All down hill after MoH: Allied Assault. Man that game was awesome
If the game was capable of larger game types, they should have given the player the option to choose what they play (6v6, 12v12, 24v24, etc).
Its as simple as that.
Still excited for this game, but the whole mindset that the developer always knows best and the fan's wants take a backseat is kind of a buzzkill
The generation of remakes. (Movies, Games, etc)
Why invent something new when you can charge people again for something that has proven itself.
Sucks for those that bought digital games for PS3, but maybe they will find a way to allow those to work as well in time.
I wonder if a disk is scratched, what is considered having the disk in the drive? Just recognizing what title it is at startup? Cant imagine its pulling any significant info from the disk...
My PS4 preorder came with a year of PS+ and having never used it before, I gotta say its pretty awesome. Until some new next gen titles come out I decided to bust out the PS3 last night and downloaded Borderlands 2, ICO and Shadow of the Collosus for free.
Wish I had signed up for PS+ earlier
The only impressive ones I saw are going for almost $1k +
Id think most people would be better off just going and dropping $150 or so on a new graphics card for their current PC, then going this route.
and lol @ $6000.
Really curious to see one of these in action. I enjoy PC games primarily due to the responsiveness of a keyboard and mouse, and being closer to a monitor to see crisp text in game.
The 30-40ms input lag from my TVs is almost unbearable for fast games with a mouse, and text is nowhere near as sharp. Guess time will tell
Hearing "real gamers only buy PS4" is like someone saying they are a car enthusiast, but only buy from Mercedes. Not to take away from their company of choice, but fanboys will always miss out on other experiences.
and to the above discussion, I own both the PS4 and Xbone and so far have gotten more bang for my buck in games from M$. Beat AC4/KZ and am getting tired of Resogun and BF4, but Ryse, Dead Rising 3 and Forza are actually a blast with friends. Sweet system...
People like good things. More at 11
For each person that watched M$ totally stumble with all the pre-launch shenanigans and swore off the Xbone completely, I bet there are another 10 people that have no idea that any of the DRM / Always online talk ever even occurred.
The truth of the matter is that unless there is another RROD situation, im willing to bet that by 2015 consumers won't even remember most of these issues anyway
I personally could care less about exclusive features, instead will probably just pick it up for whichever console it looks/runs better on.
Cant imagine being able to play a game with a headset on without my gf or the dog messing with me while I can't see anything
Game seemed plenty stable to me, needs new features for me to pick it up again
