Ahh yes, I forgot about Black-and-White.
Me and my 20-foot monkey had spent some awefully good times burning down villages together. =/
I think CoD4 also is notorious for noscopes.
Though you're right about the other games;
CS and its AWP have generally defined sniping (and probably why most snipers demand one-hit-kill rifles)
That's Krazy...
... with a K!
I find sniping kind of enjoyable. It makes me feel like a sleek assassin everytime I pull of a kill.
Although I do tend to rely on the ACOG more than the scope. =/
Though snipers could use a small buff.
Elpresador anyone? :D
I find theater mode to be quite effective in making me try goofy stuff.
Unfortunately, most games today are played for leader-boards, trophies and achievements. =/
8~10 is what GT5 has been averaging. (out of 10)
It currently sits at 84 metacritic.
(Which I suppose is mediocre to you, or at-least, thats the impression I got from your comment)
I'm afraid I can't take your challenge because it is quite easy to give most of those games an 84/100 score.
Infact, most of those games you listed are in the same ballpark on metacritic.
Also, some of those games you listed are a bit old. Would be u...
The driving simulation part is one element of the game. The game being the complete package.
The 10/10 simulator and 5/10 game means that it gets the simulation part right, but the other elements such as graphics, menus, etc have some issues. (Reading the review will tell you what the reviewer didn't like about the other elements)
Also, if you think that the majority of reviewers are ignorant, then you might want to re-think whether it's not your own ...
... are you an ARMA2 player? O.o
I don't think the Battlefield name would be that recognizable since it is primarily a PC series.
Though BadCompany has garnered some recognition...
... but Battlefield's gameplay is a bit different from CoD so I doubt if they'd make a switch.
I'm waiting to see how Brink is recieved...
But yea, BF3 should make for one popular game. =)
Comment of the Year.
Would be kinda hard for me to play forza without owning an xbox.
I'll try a find a sim for the PC though. Thanks for the suggestion. =)
(Are we being sarcastic or serious?)
Probably to balance out online racing. Prevent people from going all bumper-cars and whatnot.
From what people say, single-player already has that damage. Just gotta level up.
... but he rammed straight into a wall and the car was fine.
That's fail fail fail fail fail fai-
*spontaneously combusts*
On a serious note, was this an online race?
...
You're 97 years old?
O.o
*proceeds to stalk*
I tend to dislike the 'best' guns.
The mp44 was my favourite gun in CoD4 because it was one stubborn motherhubbard to shoot with. The only reason I go back to MW is to use the mp44.
Same goes in BlackOps, I prefer playing with the trickier guns. The SMGs are quite fun and so far enjoying the Stakeout. =)
Playing different game-modes also goes a long way in making the game more enjoyable. I know some people that haven't set foot ou...
Blizzard is happy with being rich and successful?
... The article has given me a lot to think about.
You left Counter Strike 4 dead?
Today is sad day of defeat.
=(
SystemShock2
Thief
ESS TEE AY EL KAY EEE ARR
Battlefield
No-one lives forever series
I like FPS game. =/
Good list otherwise, can't really complain, even though I am.
This is not the greatest game in the world.
This is just a tribute.
PC games too. Hell yes.
What he said:
"Unfortunately, that's what most reviewers are doing."
My counter-argument was just that if the majority is saying something, then maybe there is some truth to it and one's own differing opinion might be the one at fault.
It can always be assumed that the majority of 'journalists' are biased fanboys of the other system, but it isn't that plausible.
That isn't to say his opinion is wrong....
