... How will more RAM speed up boot times?
I would figure the HardDrive or Disk read speed would be the limiting factor there.
Having more RAM would be more along the lines of fewer (or non-existent) load screens.
I think the aim is authenticity, not realism.
I'm not exactly sure what that means, but that's what it is.
Just like what MoH has done with their past two outings.
Games can be seen as a composite of literature, film, and interactivity, but before it can become better than the sum of its parts, it has to fix a few kinks... while also finding a way to get creative freedom away from the clutches of men wearing suits of money.
Meanwhile literature does have some inherent advantages though. It's easier to spread for one and can be read from virtually anywhere.
You can also still read literature from past centuries, but will have...
It's an indie platformer that isn't trying to be on the bleeding edge of visuals.
The fact that both versions look nearly identical is to be expected.
... and calling it a crappy port is a bit unfair when the dev is considering Steam Workshop support. They seem to care about each platform they're on.
Giving players the ability to see through walls isn't exactly 'pure survival horror'
@yewles
Well, there have been some games that were only partially made free on PS+.
An example is Starhawk, where only the single-player was made free (or was it the multiplayer? I forget)
Another example would be Uncharted3, which was also single-player only on PS+. You can play the F2P multiplayer version, but it's missing a few features that actual owners get.
But I do agree with you that it is a bad precedent. In DriveClub'...
Jokes on them, a truly secret society wouldn't show up on the list.

You're trying way too hard to make Valve seem like a bad guy.
Valve is a developer that makes their games open to modders. That is a good thing.
If someone makes an exceptionally good mod, Valve hires them. That is a good thing.
They don't just rip the idea and run off with it.
It's also narrow minded to dismiss games like Dota2 and Tf2 as being unoriginal just because they're based on mods...
^ Do you not know what an 'Opinion Piece' is?
.... and really, all you have to do is read the summary.
An outcry over the title just shows an unhealthy amount of insecurity.
^ The infected are not the only threat in TWD either.
Seems like a strange point to bring up.
NoOne Lives Forever and Monkey Island spring to mind.
They way I usually judge things is that I go in with a certain level of expectation, and then when I come out, I gauge how the game matched up.
The truly great games are those that greatly exceed my initial expectations.
Now this is admittedly not only arbitrary but also a bit unfair because it puts games with hype and bigger budgets (AAA titles) at a disadvantage since they have to do something really spectacular to propel themselves above and beyond the exp...
That was addressed in the article.
It's just a silly game of semantics.
They behave like zombies, have infectious bites, etc. Just call 'em for what they really are instead of trying to weasel around.
Besides, the distinction makes no difference on the game.
This reflects my sentiments too.
Perhaps the developer that feels the greatest impact from this is Kojima.
He's wanted to move on from Metal Gear for quite some time, but there are some 'fans' that felt the need to send death threats to coerce him to direct more sequels.
Depends on what you mean by serious.
I can remember old games like NeedForSpeed3 having pretty impressive thunderstorms and night driving.
... or I suppose a more recent example is MotorStorm Apocalypse.
@DragonKnight
Your response to my question was basically a cop out.
You have to play games on a platform, and most platforms have a heavily integrated online service.
... besides, it seems after all your wailing, you agree that Steam is the best gaming service there is. Not sure why you had to make such a big fuss.

^ Because you are a console gamer, you're not getting why steam is respected.
DRM has to exist on PC in one form or another given its open nature. It existed before Steam. All Steam did was make DRM relatively painless.
If you played on PC, you'd know there are a lot of alternatives to steam, but almost all are some form of DRM as well. The fact that steam is DRM stops being a negative once you recognize that it isn't alone, yet at the same time h...
^ It was a clear joke on No_Limit's part.
The '/s' wasn't even needed, since the HalfeLife3 thing made it obvious.
@the_hitman3000
Try naming anything PSN does better than Steam.
"If you like the Xbox One, fine. Don't tell someone who doesn't that they should be talking about what's good about the console. If you like the PS4, fine. Don't tell someone who doesn't that they should list the good things about it."
Seems to me that it'd be better if people just said good things about what they like, rather than criticizing things they have no interest in in the first place.
