I'm shocked the ship date is so close to the announcement coming today. Although, waiting longer would mean a dip in sales of the current "fat" PS3, even with the price drop.
I wonder how many people are going to try to run the Wildcat all the time online?
Tough choice for me. I prefer the PS3 controller, but all my friends will be getting the game on 360. I'll probably go with the 360 version so I can play online with friends.
It's in there and fun to execute
I skipped last year as well. Didn't feel like it was worth the upgrade over the 08 version. Madden NFL 10 is well worth the purchase, though.
Thankfully the game is equivalent on both the 360 and PS3 this year, instead of one clearly standing out in front of the other.
I think they look smaller this year than previous versions. The past few years, players have been insanely jacked - way more so than in real life. EA seems to have to have brought them back down to size this year to look closer to their real life counterparts.
Haha. I think this is one of, if not the best version of Madden ever. The games feels much more realistic than ever before.
It'll be interesting to see how Rockstar changes the DS-specific gameplay elements
I wonder if the game will be as addicting when it hits the PSP? A lot of the appeal for me was the DS stylus actions, particularly hot-wiring cars and putting together your sniper rifle.
It's one of the best. I'm going to go out on a limb and say Scribblenauts will be better :)
It definitely adds to the realism, but it makes it somewhat boring as the game takes so long. Like you said, it's good that EA gave the option to change the game speed to customize it however you like.
You can use "Ask Madden" for play calling, but that's about it.
Sometimes realism doesn't translate to a more fun video game experience. I'm glad EA put in the ability to change the game speed back to Normal.
They definitely require more skill than previous years. However, having a nice balance of achievements that normal players can achieve as well as those for the hardcore is the way to go. It seems EA neglected the normal player in this version of Madden.
I definitely agree with you here. While I like to go and do my own thing sometimes, I’m more interested in what happens to a certain character.
I can see a lot of people starting local 2 player games by themselves to get some of these achievements. That, or having a friend over and cheating to get them.
I think maybe standard CTF, Team Deathmatch, or even Gold Rush from Bad Company will work.
Supposed to be released this Fall on PC. Maybe some new content will coincide with that release?
They're actually in the same "family" of a website, so they share inventory online.
